Default Todays question Friday 1-04-08

Good morning everyone
Yay it is Friday !!!!
For many it was a short week.
I though todays question would be fun, lets find out how many "stars" are among us

Todays question:
Have you ever sung Karaoke ?

Extra credit: whats your favorite song to Karaoke to"

Extra extra credit: Did it take the help of a few cocktails?

Today in history:
January 4, 1936 Billboard magazine publishes its 1st music hit parade
"The Music Goes Round and Round" by Tommy Dorsey was the number one song.

Word of the day:
obdurate \OB-duh-rit; -dyuh-\, adjective:
1. Hardened in wrongdoing; stubbornly wicked. Hardened in feelings; hard-hearted.
2. Resistant to persuasion; unyielding.
3. Hard; harsh; rugged; rough.

Today is National Spaghetti Day

well, the first part of the question, no...at least not with an audience. The extra credit part of the question is yes, everything is easier with a few cocktails, I believe.

LOL..

1 - Yes I have.
2 - Smoke on the water, by Deep Purple
3 - Hmm.. I'm not sure.. because I lost count around 10 (Just kidding)

I'm not a big fan of Jim Morrison and the Doors, but I sang a number of Doors tunes and people told me I sounded exactly like Morrison.

There was this "food show" in jersey that the company I worked for had us all attend,
We stayed at the hotel for the weekend: bad idea #1
Then we all went out drinking : bad idea #2
6 or so vodka on the rocks later: bad idea #3
"somehow" one of the other reps and I found ourselves on stage with the mics doing our " rather tipsy" version of donna summers "enough is enough" : Really really bad idea # 4

Nope, never have. Maybe because I took the hint when the priest pulled me aside after church one Sunday and asked if I could sing "quietly".

Let me just say I relate strongly to Evey and tet tea here!

Did you ever hear Cameron Diaz sing karaoke in the movie with Julia Roberts "My Best Friend's Wedding?" Well...that would be me!

Kings Island used to have this booth -- maybe it still does -- where you could go in and record your karoke. A co-worker and I recorded "Rocky Top." It was pretty bad, but then again it was 10 a.m. so not only were we stone cold sober, we weren't really awake yet.
