This happen many many years ago back in the mid 60’s when the remotes first came out. Mrs Aks and I bought a new Magnavox TV with the first remote control. After several weeks at home using the new set we found there was some trouble. The volume would go up or down, the channels would change or the tv just would turn off all on its own. Of course this drove us nuts for a while until one day when I noticed that the tv turned off when our dog walked into the room. I notice the next time the channel would change to another station but “only” when the dog walked into the room. Putting two and two together and giving this a little thought I found that the dog tags on the collar would tickle and jingle when she came into the room. The “sound” of this made the changes occur. Then when I looked at the remote I notice that it has two small bellows that when pressed would cause force air out of the unit and produce an un-audible tone to the human ear. Never had to change batteries on that unit, it was air powered. However I did take the dog tags off the collar while we still have the tv and remote………………. lol
