Myself I look forward every morning to start of the QOTD and I appreciate the dedication and hard work each and everyone listed above is doing. I also like to mention Magnum Mike who used to do the questions every 2 weeks alternating with Bayarea. Thank you all
I couldn't do it.....even once a week I just don't have the imagination and morning brain for it. I wanted to say a special thanks to those of you who do this week in and week out, I really look forward to participating every day, it means a lot to me to log on to C-D everyday with my coffee and exercise my weak brain for a bit.
Remember the sweet lady who started this whole thing? Karla with a K or after that KWAK is the leader of the pack, she used to do the QOTD every single day and it was awesome. Anyone talked to KWAK lately? Thanks to all of you, I really appreciate what you do.
^Thanks for making this thread.
I don't have "morning brain" because I post Qs before I go to sleep, as I'm a night owl & am awake 'til maybe 5 a.m. (I don't "do" mornings)
Coming up with the vocab. word is pretty easy, just because I read a lot so am usually running into some word that makes me curious.
The picture is pretty easy for me to post since I have (I drew them, I own them, no copyright confusion) hundreds of original mazes & drawings.
Thinking of the questions themselves is for me the super-hard part. However, intellectually, I know it's good exercise/mental practice for my brain.
I brainstorm possible ideas, most of which then have to be edited or discarded due to being too this or not enough that-plus making sure it hasn't been asked recently, etc...
I look forward to the posting of each different day's Qs, and I like how each OP tailors the template to his/her individual preferences/style.
Appreciate the appreciation, and of course there is no thread if not for the respondents adding posts to it, so thanks for continuing to play nice together with us.

You're very welcome! I guess if I were to post a QOTD I'd have to do it at night also because it's all I can do to answer them in the morning. The vocabulary words would be about the only thing I could handle in the a.m.
I am very glad that the QOTD continues on like it does, it really is about the first thing I do when I get up, besides make coffee. I'm definitely a creature of habit.
I wasn't aware that you created the mazes/puzzles, that's very impressive indeed. I'm just super impressed with all who create the daily threads (or weekly) and I do appreciate it, thanks to all.

^Hope I'm not tangenting off-topic.
Yes, I designed, planned, and created the drawings, paintings, and mazes posted when I'm QOTD OP.
If you zoom in, many have date & signature near maze edge.
One reason for posting my work is that I don't have to stress/worry about running afoul of copyright issues-because they're mine, all mine
Plus it makes it easier to pick something to use for the picture, as my collection of images is finite (though I continue to make new art). It's simpler (for me) this way.
If I had too many options for what to use as the picture, I'd spend forever (unsuccessfully) trying to decide & not actually get the post written.
I wholeheartedly agree with what everyone has said so far about the QOTD and all the people who help put it together. You all do a FANTASTIC job of it and it helps to make our experience here on City-Data much more enriching. Those of us who are regular posters responding to the questions are like a family of sorts. We all get to know each other by our responses.
THANK YOU ALL!!!
