While I haven't been to either one of those for a few years, I do visit Goodwill stores regularly, and I do have a mental list of things I would love to find.
- An old walkman/radio
- A disco ball, saw one a few months ago at a thrift store, but it was broken.
- Official merchandise from bands/singers I like (One of our stores has had a box of Justin Bieber stuff since last summer. PASS!
- CDs I don't have, they're only $2 at our Goodwills. Would love to find Katy Hudson's album there, Katy Perry actually released a Christian album back in 2001. It didn't sell well at all, and usually goes for over $100 on Ebay.
- Anything that just catches my eye as unique and can't live without
Anything of value at a great price.... however I don't need or want anything so how about if I could sell some of my junk? and clear out the garage........................................... LOL
It's a zoo 3-5 before this event.. The World's Longest Yard Sale.. many clips on You Tube.. If it's legal it's for sale... and if it's not legal buyer beware..
Thanks Arianator, similar thoughts here. Tools, especially old hand tools would likely be highest on my list. Some electronic gadgets would be high on my list. Old collectibles and memorabilia as well. Good deals of any sort appeals to me.

Yes, I have seen some interesting things at our stores.
About 2 months ago I saw the attachment for a truck to use it as a snow plow for $300. I joked that everyone on our street should pitch in and buy it...I live on a cul de sac and we almost never see a snow plow.
The last time I went I saw a portable DVD player. I was kind of excited to have found one for the price tag of only $10, but it came without the cord, so never mind there.
I was ultimately inspired to go to these stores about 8 or 9 months ago. I don't know how I stumbled across it, but on YouTube I saw a video of someone who went to these stores looking for old video games. After seeing some of his finds, even though I'm not really interested in buying games, I decided to go out to one. The first few trips I found nothing, but later trips have proven more fruitful.

That snow plow would be an unlikely find here in Texas. Though our local weather station just showed a video of snow we got in Jan. 1985. Showed a kid playing around on snow skis in front of the Alamo.
