If they get brown and mushy, that's when they're perfect for use in batters for cakes, cookies, muffins and pancakes.

Yep, you can freeze 'em. But they'll be very mushy when you thaw them, and you'd pretty much be stuck just using them in recipes.

FYI: If you peel the banana from the bottom tip up towards the stem.. you will have less of those stringy things..
