I reside not far from the famous Punxsutawney Phil. He is the most pampered rodent this side of the Mississippi - truly. And I believe he has better security than our current president.
We make it a point to go nowhere near that town on February 2nd. It is insane.
It's fine with me if the groundhog sees his shadow on Monday. It's too early for spring here. Winter's just getting started, and my garden needs some more cold weather if the flower bulbs are going to sprout and bloom at the right time. Except for the dangerous driving conditions, I love winter.

Our forsythia and camellias are trying hard to bloom, I see tulips poking their leaves up, and if Zoey sees a groundhog she'll chase it back down its hole!
