Today’s Question:
How long after you wake do you get up out of bed ?
After a couple of snooze buttons.
How long after you decide to go to bed does it take you to fall asleep ? Depends on how tired I am.
Do you sleep straight through, or do you wake up a few (or many) times ? Usually straight through unless I wake to use the toilet. You asked. lol

Extra Credit:
Do you sleep the same hours on weekdays as you do over the weekend (or holidays/vacation) ?
Yes.
Do you nap rarely or regularly ? Once in a while.

Bonus:
In an average week, how many phone calls do you place or take ?
Not sure.
Do you more often make a call or more often receive a call ? About even.
Are most of your phone calls business or personal ? Personal.

Just for Fun:
If you have a computer, how often do you “empty the trash” (delete the discarded files) ?
Not often enough probably.

Happy Monday April 13, everybody-and welcome to QOTD.

Today’s Question:
How long after you wake do you get up out of bed? A few seconds. I set my alarm for the last possible moment I need to get up in order to be ready to leave for the day.
How long after you decide to go to bed does it take you to fall asleep? About 80% of the time, I fall asleep pretty quickly - perhaps within 10 minutes). However, on nights like last night, sleep doesn't come for hours. I was still awake at 3:30 a.m. today; just couldn't shut my mind down because I have too many irons in the fire right now. I hate when that happens.
Do you sleep straight through, or do you wake up a few (or many) times? I wake up a few times when nature calls, but I immediately fall back asleep when I get back in bed.

Extra Credit:
Do you sleep the same hours on weekdays as you do over the weekend (or holidays/vacation)? I sleep in on Saturday mornings if I don't have to get up for a meeting or an appointment. If I have a free Saturday, I don't set my alarm. On Sundays, I get up for church but not as early as I get up on weekdays for work.
Do you nap rarely or regularly? Extremely rarely - less than once a year. I sometimes feel I really need a nap, but there aren't enough hours in a day to indulge in one. (I know - it's important to get enough sleep for health reasons. I need to work on that. ) The only time I'll even consider taking a nap is if I feel I'm coming down with a cold or something.

Bonus:
In an average week, how many phone calls do you place or take? About 6. I detest telephones. To me, they're only a necessary evil.
Do you more often make a call or more often receive a call? Receive.
Are most of your phone calls business or personal? Personal. Most of the time, my job does not require that I talk on the phone. Once in a while, though, I get a project which involves making calls to hundreds of vendors within just a few days.

Just for Fun:
If you have a computer, how often do you “empty the trash” (delete the discarded files)? Not on a specific timeline, but I often clean out my email folders and occasionally go in and clean out documents that I haven't needed for quite some time. I did that several days ago.
Today’s Word:
paraprosdokian /pærəprɒsˈdoʊkiən/ (n.): Figure of speech to describe a text (be it a few words or an entire speech),
with a “twist”, surprise, or incongruous ending, which changes one’s interpretation of the text’s earlier section.
Example: “On the other hand, you have different fingers.” - comic Steven Wright
Interesting. I love Steven Wright, by the way. He's hilarious!

Today Is:
Scrabble Day I love to play Scrabble. It's a great game, in person or online.
and the start to-
International Dark Sky Week We've had dark skies in the daytime a few days this week. Not today, though. It's sunny and beautiful.

Better late than never! Happy Monday . . . er, I mean Friday, everyone!
