Todays question Saturday 1-19-08
Happy Saturday everyone
It is 48 and rainy right now in NE FL
So I got to thinking when I was young way back when lol we would love playing boards game on rainy days. So it gave me the idea for
Todays question:
What was your favorite board game when you were young ?
Extra credit : What is your favorite board game now ?
Today in history:
January 19, 1903 New bicycle race "Tour de France" announced, hmm did they have the yellow jacket even then?
Word of the day:
exude (ig-zood) v.
to project or display conspicuously or abundantly; radiate: to exude cheerfulness.
Today is National Popcorn Day
p.s. Don't forget if you have any ideas for "today questions" just send them to me in a DM also let me know if it is ok to give you the credit for the question

Id like to get a small group of friends together and we should get a round started.

We played all kinds of games- parcheesi, chineese checkers, card games, Monopoly.
Now I like fictionary (played with a dictionary, four - five friends and adult beverages) and Trivial Pursuit
Really like Pente and for a while there were four of us who would get together weekly to play. Would love to learn Bunko. And to get into a semi-weekly game night.
Karla- Can I pull off a fire in the fireplace at 48* or will the neighbors think I am exuding insanity?

lol I always wondered if anyone owned the game clue where the lead pipe wasn't bent because it was so soft everyone kept bending it
I loved "candyland" and "chutes and ladders"
I think my all time favorite had to be and still is "Life" lol trying to keep all those pegs in the little cars was quite the challenge

Ok, so I need to get a life since I've been sitting here too long this morning!
Speaking of life ... Life, Pay Day, Candyland, Monopoly, Shenanigans, Mouse Trap, Mystery Date, Operation, Kerplunk, Racko, Clue (pipe is bent) -- we were a big board games family - still are - still have all these games. Today, along with the above, it's Trivial Pursuit (um, yeah, I was in one of those lonnnngggg lines when it first came out and spent megabucks to get one), Pictionary, and oh heck I have a closet full. Newest game (Santa brought it) is Charlie Brown's Christmas -- dumb rules, so we made up our own :-)

Yay Power Surge! I love Apples to Apples..we have an amazing time with our friends when we play this.
When I was young, we played so many different games and they always were my favorite. However, if I was to pick just one, it would have to be Life. Just moving those cute little cars around with all the people sticks. It was fun!
Great question Karla with a K!

I always loved rummy when I was younger, and Scrabble. Now I love to play Monopoly, Life and Uno with the kids.
