I'm thinking about being relieved! We are dog sitting our grand dogs and one of them escaped. For about 1 1/2 hours, hubby and I drove around the neighborhood in a panic....no sign of him. Finally, hubby found him, frolicking in a creek, happy as can be, covered in mud. After a bath in the back yard, he is not the least bit repentant and neither is DH, who is responsible for the dog escaping in the first place.
I am sipping an adult beverage and trying to calm down.
I'm thinking Star would love the maple donuts I used to get back home. They were like donut pancakes - complete with crumbled bacon on top. So good!

Oh yeah - maple doughnuts sound really nice.
I've never had bacon with Maple Syrup though. I've only had bacon with something savoury - such as in a Full English Breakfast, or a bacon sandwich with some HP Sauce on it.
Having said that, I did try some maple flavoured ham, and that was really nice. So I'm wondering if bacon with Maple Syrup would be like that.
It's a food thoughts kind of day, for sure. Star, I'm guessing you'll like bacon with pancake syrup - classic sweet/salty combo
Also thinking I'm sad to see the last of 80 degree days
I'm actually relieved. Almost a week of unbearable heat!
