Todays question Friday 1-25-08
Good morning everyone
Happy Friday !!!
In honor of todays "word of the day"
Here is todays question:
Other than going to work
Are you the type of person that has to have your hair & makeup done or shaved(for you guys) and dressed to leave the house
or
Are you the grab the keys this is how you get me at least I'm dressed type?
Today in history:
January 25, 1870 The soda fountain was patented by Gustavus Dows
January 25, 1905 World's largest diamond, Cullinan - 3106 carets, found in South Africa
Word of the day:
disheveled \dih-SHEV-uhld\, adjective;
In loose disorder; disarranged; unkempt; as, "disheveled hair."
Today is National Irish Coffee Day
Wooo hooo today is also
National fun at work day !!!!

I can just go but I do prefer to be dressed I keep my hair short to avoid the disheveled hair.
National fun at work day !!!! I must of missed it.

LOL! I am a firm believer in "come as you are". Besides, I don't even own make up and "doing my hair" means a ponytail with no cow licks.......

It depends on where a person is going. Heck Ive taken kids to school, or taken my daughter to the grocery store late evening, right after my shower, and have gone in my pjs and with wet hair (though I stay in my truck, lol). Otherwise, I prefer to look reasonable decent.

I agree with Power Surge: for me, the destination makes a bit of a difference.
I might take a bit more care for a cocktail party or job interview than I would for a dog walk or Publix.

I'm a 'grab the keys, and this is what you get' person. I don't like makeup or even own any. I tried once and it made my skin feel tight and funny. I do like to shower in the morning and start the day off clean.

All depends where I have to be. I work from home, so looks aren't too fancy in general. If you are a female past age 45, people may perceive you as dead, if you're out without make up. Some days it's just easier to wear a hat and sun glasses. I do like "putting on my face" when time permits.

Before two of my kids started driving I did run out of the house like I was at 1am to go pick them up from work on the weekend but in general I like to be shaved and dressed for the public.

I have to be put together. It is not a pretty site when I wake up. I have been told that I look like a mole when I sleep as all you seeis the top of my head sticking out of the covers..because of that, I look like Phyllis Diller and have to fix it all...I really look disheveled so it takes a lot of "fixin".
Yum Irish Coffee Day...woohoo!!!
I have Fun at Work almost everyday because I get to work with kids and kids are hilarious! How many people get to say that they get lots of hugs at work......
Have a great day all.
