Default Todays question Saturday 1-26-08

Good morning everyone
Yay it is the weekend
Todays question was suggested by another loyal reader. Please keep these great ideas coming

Todays question:

Do you have a friend who you love to death in spite of little annoying things they do or annoying phrases they use?

Today in history:
January 26,1875 - George F. Green of Kalamazoo, Michigan patented the electric dental drill for sawing, filing, dressing and polishing teeth. Considering what they used before George came up with his invention (hammer, pliers, pipe wrench, chain saw (YeeeeeeoW!), the thought of that spiffy electric drill is kind of comforting...
caterwaul \KAT-uhr-wawl\, intransitive verb:
1. To make a harsh cry.
2. To have a noisy argument.
noun:
1. A shrill, discordant sound.

Hmmm I bet some of the early dental patients caterwauled a lot

Today is National Peanut Brittle Day

Goodmorning all...
I know a person, I can't say that I'm a close friend to them, but everytime you talk to them, they make a sucking on their teeth sound. It's like they are trying to get something unstuck from between their teeth. It makes it kinda hard to talk to them. I'm always staring at their mouth, which makes me feel wierd.

I don't like dentists....exspecially their handy little drill. It gives my chills just to hear it.

Have a great weekend, Lisa

Yes, I have a friend who constantly interrupts me when I am trying to get a message across. She goes on and on and is always thinking of what she wants to say instead of listening to what I have to say...and when she actually hears what I say she tries to top it. BUT, she is the salt of the earth and I would want to change one hair on her head and I lover her to death!

The above pretty much describes me when I go to the dentist. I can actually feel the pain before i get there!! I am a former Army Special Ops Officer and pride myself on fearing no man...but the dentist brings me to my knees!

Today is National Peanut Brittle Day
I love peanut brittle even though it reminds me of my dentist's warnings not to eat it.

Mornin y'all...hope your account problems are behind you cinderobin...and Karla keep this thread going...I'll try to come up with some good questions for you...

No but this kid that hangs around the shop a lot taps and drums on things while he is asking me questions, some times he even pulls those Tech Decks " miniture skateboards " out of his pocket and rolls them over or jumps everything on my counter. Makes me feel like my hearts beating backwards.

I have a friend who ends each and every sentence with "as the case may be" or sticks a "per se" somewhere it does not belong. Another friend uses the word "ideal" instead of "idea". They both drive me crazy, but I love them to death.

I have another really good friend who drags her feet when she walks. Aaaggghhh! And she always wears sandals which only makes that sound worse.

Hmmm, wonder what my friends say about me.......?

No. Not anymore. I did, but she died. I really miss her. She volunteered every day and always was telling me I needed to go to this or that meeting. I don't know how she knew all these things. Wonder where I can find another friend like that?

Mornin Uncle batz!

I have no idea if it is behind me or not...

At least I have not caught the person hacking anymore, though.

The dentist.

I LOVE going to the dentist! My hygentist sp I know... is a wonderful person and I love going to see her! The dentist hardly says a peep.

I can do without him.

Had a root canal one time, and was talking the whole way through... Didn't even care..

I am stong like that... woohoo!!!!lol
