In my refrige...a bag of seeds, pinecones, apples and plums from my recent trip to Sweden. I'll be planting them this week in hopes of getting something to grow.
In my freezer...a big chunk of glacier ice. Which lasts forever in a drink.

The idea for todays ? came from yesterdays exercise thread, those of you who visit know we are a wild & crazy bunch over there
Todays question:
What is the weirdest or most unusual thing in your refrigerator or freezer?
Triple extra credit if you post a picture
Today in History:
January 29, 1802 - John Beckley became the first Librarian of the U.S. Congress. He was paid $2 a day. Not bad, considering in 1802 you could buy a house for $25.00 and a chicken.
January 29, 1924 Ice cream cone rolling machine patented by Carl Taylor, Cleveland
Word of the day:
sylvan \SIL-vuhn\, adjective:
1. Of or pertaining to woods or forest regions.
2. Living or located in a wood or forest.
3. Abounding in forests or trees; wooded.
Today is National Corn Chip Day
Today is also national Freethinkers day

Since following your thread and honoring the "Today is national (fill in the blank with fattening/sweet food) day." I've gained 12 pounds.

Polish Pierogies frozen
I’ve got Pierogies (pirogues) in the freezer. We have meat & rice, potato & cheese, and last sauerkraut & mushroom pierogies. You just can’t have enough of these on hand around the house. These are old world Polish items that you just have to have. I’ll pass on the fried blood sausage (Kiszka) even though it was Mrs. AksarbeN’s grandpa’s favorite food.

My French/Canadian Grandmother loved blood sausage, too, but she called it "Boudain". I liked it, till I found out what it was and how it was made. ick. I'd love to try one of your pierogies, tho.

ok waiting for the pictures to upload in photobucket
As a few of you know one of my greyhounds is pretty sick so the vet is monitoring his well pee pee so she tells me to "store it in the fridge" so of course I went ewwwww as I am sure many of you are doing well she said silly it is sterile but if you want put the container in a zip bag. So if 1 is good 3 must be better.
So that is the weird thing in my fridge
Now in my freezer I have my collection of easter bunnies
I started back in 1997 when a friend of mine commented that "most folks that live at the beach are like chocolate easter bunnies pretty on the outside and hollow on the inside"
So I dated one that year and put it in the freezer as a joke to him that I will never be a "easter bunny"
rofl needless to say almost 11 years later I am still putting a easter bunny in the freezer each year I guess more out of habit than the "hollow beach babe thing"
sometimes 2 would join
Here is the door of the freezer
and here is a close up I think you can even see some of the dates
