Lol..I can believe it !
Once I received a phone call from a woman with a very heavy accent, trying to sell me something, since I couldn't understand a word of what she was saying, I kindly asked to be taken off their call list , thats when she called me a skinny devil b**** ! At first I laughed and then it kinda made me mad.

I read this article. SOME people have no restraint and no common sense.
Call me anti-social but if I don't know your number on my caller ID, I don't answer. I also have privacy manager so if your phone number doesn't report, it doesn't ring at my house.
I pay for my phone, its for MY use, not for anyone and everyone to harass me with. It also makes me feel better when I shred stupid mail, like the demands I get for my ex-husband. Its been 5 years and he never put on a mail forward.

AMEN, Lindasymcfarren! I am SO tired of companies that think your personal information is thiers to use any way they see fit. And I'm SO tired of the politicians and charities that exempted THEMSELVES from the Do-not-call law.

OH no kidding, I get two political calls a day.
I don't give out my phone number to anyone but they still manage to get it.

Wow, after reading that article this morning, I went over and returned a garden tool I borrowed from my neighbor back last year.
Now, here is a true story that just now happened. Back in 2005, I had a habit of buying those phone cards with 250 minute limits on them. I would use it at work to call my girlfriend, because back then, they were beings real turds at work about the company phones. Anyway, I would follow all the rules the phone card people had in place, and still would never get over a couple of hours use from these four hour cards. I would call their service number and complain about it. They would promise to make it right, but never would. I finally wrote a letter of complaint to the BBB. This was in Nov. of 05. Yesterday, Feb. 1st of 08, I received a letter back from the BBB saying they could not get a response from the card issuer, and had therefore put them on a consumer watchlist. I was so proud!! I can't get a refund on these scam cards, and it only took nearly three years to find this out!

I hope this collection agency gets sued into non-existence. The only thing these people understand is costing them money.

I had AT&T call me up 70 times in a row last summer to ask me if I wanted DSL service.
70 times I told them no & asked them to stop calling. They just started again this month. Right when I hear the voice say AT&T I hang up on them. I really need to get caller id.

All of these companies are going to eventually get their due. The economy is bad enough as it is their stupid tactics has a lot to do with that imo. They are going to keep harassing people until we stop buying their goods and services. Except for emergencies I can do without my cell phone. I wish I never started using credit cards and as soon as I pay them off I'll be free of those. I block calls from those 800 and 866 numbers. They call from call centers and don't respond to letters from you. The best way to deal with them is to not have any accounts. I've learned not to enter contests because that opens up their line of communication to you (read the fine print on the entry forms). Its gotten out of hand. The banks and mortgage companies are getting their just desserts now. God don't like ugly. Let 'em keep calling and harassing.

Won't adding caller ID to your bill make AT&T richer???? They will really love you even more.
