As to photos, here a a few I took last week on a visit to the Wiltshire-Dorset border. This is one of the loveliest, and actually quite quiet, areas in the vicinity;
Thank you for the wonderful photos, Jezer. Your part of the world is such a charming, picturesque place, and I enjoy these virtual tours so much.
I get those online nursing school spam e-mails all the time, too. I used to get all sorts of pitches for Viagra and come-ons from pretty women who wanted them to visit their site. That's pretty amusing since I'm a 60-something woman. Spammers seem to assume that everyone on the internet is male.
Yesterday I got an "urgent" text from someone named Samantha who says that someone with my last name passed away and they need to contact me immediately. This sounds like another version of the Nigerian scam.
Then there are junk calls. Someone who speaks English as a second language claims to be from the IRS. They say that I owe back taxes and threaten me, saying that if I don't contact them immediately I will be arrested. Another common junk call is the "lower your electric bill" pitch that asks me to press 1 if I want lower electricity rates. I think they're probably selling solar panels.
My home is my sanctuary, and when strangers try to invade my space to sell me things I don't need or to rip me off, it is really annoying.

I totally agree Shep.
Aside from the internet, we are located at the end of the road and there are signs saying no cold calling.
Anyone who is ignorant enough to ignore this clearly posted sign incurs 'The Wrath Of Jez'!
Good Monday morning all. I too have had to cancel an email account or two due to insane amounts of spam. Like Bay, I also get bizarre offers to meet women. Hubby would not be happy. It may be because my first name was traditionally a man's name.
As for surprise invasions here at the house, my favorite is probably the men who show up in a box truck selling meat. There is clearly no refrigeration, they just have it in coolers. I tell them, I have meat in a big cooler called the freezer. Now go away.
Lovely tranquil pictures, Jez. Appreciated as always.
It's one of the few remnants from a previous house on that estate.
Believe it or not there used to be the most humungous house- if that is the word- on that estate. It was built by one of the richest men in the Country.
Here is an article on it- it was truly and utterly mind blowing, though not all in a good way!
As for your peeve, also related, I don't do most social media because of scammers sending messages like, "I've got no time to explain. I'm in __________ and need you to wire me $2,000 right away." The location is always overseas. Once in London. Sorry Jezer. This type message received after the scammer tried to create a pretense of friendship for a while.
Location: The Circle City. Sometimes NE of Bagdad.

Spam email.
Very little gets by my spam filter, looking at some of them you would think that the Nigerians including the IRS, FBI and other scammers would have realized people have gotten wise to their scheme.
Some are actually quite humorous, but in the end the delete option wins.
Nice pix as usual Jezer. Thumbs up.
