I hope you're all sitting down, so it's safe to let ya know...
I've been with my company for over 7 years. The earliest e-mails I have are from Jan 2002! There were some from 2001 I deleted not long ago. Granted, about a year ago an Archive folder was made. Some I clean occasionally. Right now there are 30,600 pieces in my Junk folder, but this one is not my fault. We're using a crappy anti-spam program which forgets something is junk as soon as you delete it from the Junk folder. Of course, the IT guys wanna upgrade me, but I'm very progress (regress? )-resistant in this area.
To me my mail box is a business directory and a personal diary all rolled into one! It's very educational to go back to personal e-mails and see what the real situation was at the time as we all tend to rewrite history in our heads. The state of the affairs would've been the same at home had a major crash not happened some time ago. Even professionals were not able to recover the e-mails. Was a big-time tragedy at the time even though I had most of them at work Guess gotta try to start using some Internet mail exclusively, but I'm used to my ISP's mail and numerous places have it as contact.
The hubby is in charge of emails for our office, so I have no idea what he has going on there! Although he told me this morning that he has logged in 236 e-mails with just one customer, and we are only at the beginning of his project! I'm glad that is his gig.
And speaking of gigs, Karla - how bout it with the New York, New York?! When we DJ a party, we always like to play Sinatra, but no matter what song we choose, there is always a request for New York, New York. Now we just do a double shot of ol' blue eyes, and everyone is happy.
Ok Karla with a K - terrible question cuz it made me actually look.
I'm on AOL so I don't have a trash bin, but have automatic archive.

My work comp has 471 in the current Inbox and 271 in the current Sent box.
I have 38 to trash.
I also have 3 sets of Archives with Inbox and Sent
and about 55 Personal folders for everything that is categorized and stuff from Inbox and Sent get moved to their special folders after a while. Like when I get bored and have nothing left to read/write on CD and have no audits going on, I start moving things.
Have no clue what's at home. I do most of my computer life here at work.
Is February Italian food month or something? Heck we're seeing enough Pasta on the question of the day threads, I feel like saying "Mumma Mia!!" or invite my 6 brothers and 10 sisters, 20 uncles, 15 aunts, and 250 cousins over for dinner!
