I've learned in this life to never say never.

However, after my last vacation I had hoped to never book a trip with connecting flights again. Well, guess what I did this week? Yep, booked a trip in June with a connecting flight. The choice was connecting flight or no trip.

I swore for decades that I would never again work in a large office with just women. Guess where I ended up 3 years ago?

I was laid off for a year and really, really needed a job. My only reservation was working with a gaggle of women, and I hate it with a passion. At least the job was a promotion.

Thanks for sharing your " never say never" moments. At least I know I'm not the only one.

Whenever I say "never" it always happens again or for the first time, so I try not to say it

I will never eat most yucky veggies. And I have done just so. Not eat yucky veggies that is.

I don't think I have never said I would never get a smart phone. However I have said I have no use for them. Guess who just got a smart phone 2 days ago. Only signed up for talk and text. I have zero need to walk around checking Facebook updates every 15 seconds of the day. Mostly I just text my sister. Was amazed when I found out I can just talk into the phone and it converts it into text to send. Only downside of this is it does not translate from mutt to English very well.

I never thought I'd ever see myself playing women's football (soccer); but for the last 3 months I've been playing for my local Sunday league team. And wow! what an experience!!

There comes a time when you are so old and so wasted by never saying never that your body finally says it for you.
