Today's Franked Questions:
Do you ever speak to your postal carrier? No, because they usually deliver the mail when I'm not home. Whenever I've caught a glimpse of a mail carrier, it seems we get a new one every month or so.

What was something you really, really anticipated getting in the mail? A refund check.

Did it live up to expectations? Why or why not? It did because I was expecting the funds and I needed the money.

Bonus Shopping Section:
Do you care about so-called Black Friday shopping or holiday sales? No, because I hate crowds.

Which do you shop at more these days online or in person at stores? Mostly online.

Does it bother you that tracking software might show you ads for things you've looked up online? No, because I have an ad blocker on my browser which is very effective.

Foodie Questions:
What, if any, Halloween candy did you eat recently? I had a couple of Reese's peanut butter cups.

Do you have any firm
plans for Thanksgiving day dinner yet? I think we're going to my younger sister's house. She loves to entertain.

Just for Fun:
Have you heard any holiday music played yet this year, like in stores, etc.? I think I saw a commercial on TV recently that had a Christmas theme and holiday music BEFORE Halloween.

Enjoy your Friday eve!

Did it live up to expectations? Why or why not? A bit surreal, a finally *whew* on my part.

Bonus Shopping Section:

Today's Franked Questions:
Do you ever speak to your postal carrier?
No. I don't see him. I have POBox. I do speak to the people in the post office.

What was something you really, really anticipated getting in the mail?
A parcel from an order online.

Did it live up to expectations? Why or why not?
Yup - great item, delivered on time.

Bonus Shopping Section:
Do you care about so-called Black Friday shopping or holiday sales?
Not at all. There are better sales, those unannounced.

Which do you shop at more these days online or in person at stores?
Depends what - food, items I need to try - in regular stores.
Most other things online.

Does it bother you that tracking software might show you ads for things you've looked up online?
Everything is tracking your life - your gadgets, the Internet, home automation, street cameras, cameras at work (we have them almost everywhere), credit cards... etc. To avoid it, you would have go back to a Stone Age.

Foodie Questions:
What, if any, Halloween candy did you eat recently?
No Halloween candy, but I had a small bitter chocolate square yesterday.

Do you have any firm
plans for Thanksgiving day dinner yet?
Not sure yet. Family dinner or weekend getaway.

Just for Fun:
Have you heard any holiday music played yet this year, like in stores, etc.?
Oh, geez... I am dreading that, but I know, it's coming

Today's Franked Questions:
Do you ever speak to your postal carrier? S/he drives past, rolls the window down and puts the mail into the box. Unless I happen to be at the end of the driveway, there's no chance to speak.

What was something you really, really anticipated getting in the mail? Gifts for grands

Did it live up to expectations? Why or why not? Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

Bonus Shopping Section:
Do you care about so-called Black Friday shopping or holiday sales? Local artists have open studios after Thanksgiving & I always go to several. Much prefer watching a person creating art than fighting crowds.

Which do you shop at more these days online or in person at stores? Still more in person

Does it bother you that tracking software might show you ads for things you've looked up online? Does

Foodie Questions:
What, if any, Halloween candy did you eat recently? Haven't had any since before Halloween

Do you have any firm
plans for Thanksgiving day dinner yet? Have. We had our Thanksgiving "summit" last weekend & I've already bought the turkey. We go to my sister's; everyone contributes. This year I am cooking one of the turkeys, making homemade stuffing, and bringing "adult beverages." I might make some cookies for the kids.

Just for Fun:
Have you heard any holiday music played yet this year, like in stores, etc.? Haven't yet.
