Today's Franked Questions:

No, our mailboxes are in a central location. I never see him. (It is a him.)

Today's Franked Questions:

Do you ever speak to your postal carrier? Never see him, seems he waits around the corner until he sees me leave every am, then drops off the mail. When I come back home the wife says, "the mailman was here," with this big grin on her face. Hmmm.

What was something you really, really anticipated getting in the mail? My check from Publisher's Clearing House.

Did it live up to expectations? No, but they must have delivered it to my neighbor by mistake as I've seen them driving around in their new Mercedes lately.

Bonus Shopping Section:
Do you care about so-called Black Friday shopping or holiday sales? No BF for me. But during the holidays if there is something I really really really need and it's on a really really really deep discount, I may really buy it. The best sales usually are just before and after the 2 holidays.

Which do you shop at more these days online or in person at stores? In person. I like to touch and feel the merchandise and see what I really am getting. Plus I support as many local businesses as possible.

Does it bother you that tracking software might show you ads for things you've looked up online? Rarely see any.

Foodie Questions:
What, if any, Halloween candy did you eat recently? No kids no candy.

Do you have any firm plans for Thanksgiving day dinner yet? Yes, our local favorite mom & pop café is having a turkey day special for us homeless people, so we signed up for dinner there.

Just for Fun:
Have you heard any holiday music played yet this year, like in stores, etc.? Not yet, but if you're really anxious here's one for ya...'Deck the halls with boughs of holly, fa la la la la la'.....

Let me be the first to wish you a Merry Christmas bjh

Today's Franked Questions:
Do you ever speak to your postal carrier? Every time I'm outside and he comes by. I'll step off the porch to get the mail and tell him I'm saving him the hard work of walking up and down our 3 steps. lol

What was something you really, really anticipated getting in the mail? I sat by my mailbox I don't know how many days waiting for my letter from Publishers Clearing House telling me they'd be bringing my check!

Did it live up to expectations? Why or why not? I never got my letter!!!!!!

Bonus Shopping Section:
Do you care about so-called Black Friday shopping or holiday sales? I don't do Black Friday sales. My hospitalization doesn't cover acts of war.

Which do you shop at more these days online or in person at stores? My wife does most of the Christmas shopping and a lot of it is online. What gets me is how long she sits here watching QVC and never buys a thing! I think the old test pattern channels used when they went off the air might be more informative than QVC and HSN!
For most of our shopping I'll hop in the car and go get it. She's been down with back problems for almost 4 years, so I'm the shopper of the house.

Does it bother you that tracking software might show you ads for things you've looked up online? Most definitely! My wife bought some bras online and I'm still trying to find out why all the bra and other women's unmentionables are showing up on MY computer!

Foodie Questions:
What, if any, Halloween candy did you eat recently? Halloween candy left over? Yeah, right! I gave out a little over 700 little candy bars in 2 1/2 hours Halloween night!

Do you have any firm plans for Thanksgiving day dinner yet? Got plans for 2 of them. One Thanksgiving day at my step daughter's and one the next day at my son and DIL. That means this feller here won't have to spend all afternoon washing all the pots and pans, but no dishes! Once again, I'm soooooooo thankful for our fine china. It's what some people call styrofoam plates.

Just for Fun:
Have you heard any holiday music played yet this year, like in stores, etc.? Just on the commercials on TV a week before Halloween.

I care about the lower prices offered, especially on items I'm searching for!

Which do you shop at more these days online or in person at stores?
About 50/50

Does it bother you that tracking software might show you ads for things you've looked up online?
Clear my cache after every browsing session.

Foodie Questions:
What, if any, Halloween candy did you eat recently?
A snack-size Milky Way & a Reese's peanut butter cup.

Do you have any firm
plans for Thanksgiving day dinner yet?
Pretty much except for the food... since we'll be at the beach house anyway, thinking we're going to go rogue this year and have fresh seafood & *wait to have the traditional turkey & ham for Christmas dinner when everyone can all be together... besides, too much of the same food too close together to do at both. *Note... I've tried to get this idea across every year, but no dice thus far!
