Not talking about immigrants, but US-born visible minorities. What are the main cultural differences between Southern Blacks & Northern Blacks & California Blacks? Or between Texas Hispanics & California Hispanics & Florida Hispanics & New York Hispanics? Or between Northeast Asians & West Coast Asians & Texas Asians & Hawaii Asians? And everyone in between?
Because we often talk about the Southerner vs. Northerner thing, with its implicit focus on Whites.
The differences can be slighted depending on who you talk to. I have delat with blacks from California and to me many of them are very relaxed and laid back.
except for accents, there's hardly any differences between blacks of the different regions, mostly because the black race in majority is rooted in the south
Regional differences are probably not as distinct as class differences.
I would have to second this opinion. Historically speaking most blacks are from the south, but the major differences are along class lines. However, in general the same stereotypes apply that are leveled at whites from the north and whites from the south when dealing with blacks from the north and blacks from the south. A southern is still a southerner and a northern is still a northerner. Not to mention blacks from the south are products of white southern culture and blacks from the north are products of white nothern culture.

There is some African influence to some degree in both as well due to some parts that Black shave been able to retain culturally.
