Todays question Saturday 3-01-08
Good morning everyone
Happy Saturday !!!
I realized the other day when I was running some errands, that these are very dangerous times One must stay in their homes to avoid the risk and temptations that loom out there.
I am talking about
EASTER CANDY !!!!!!
Everywhere I went there were Brobdingnagian displays of what I consider one of the best candy times of the year
So knowing I am not the only one that may fall prey to the temptations, here is
Todays question:
What is your favorite, can't resist, finds it's way into your buggy, going to be responsible for a couple extra pounds each year Easter candy ?
Today in history:
March 1, 1790 1st U.S. census authorized
March 1, 1912 Albert Berry makes 1st parachute jump from an airplane
Word of the day:
Brobdingnagian \brob-ding-NAG-ee-uhn\, adjective:
Of extraordinary size; gigantic; enormous.
As this is the beginning of a new month have to do the National "Month" thing first
March is a very busy National Stuff month here are a few highlights:
National Celery Month
National Caffeine Awareness Month
National On-Hold month
This is also National Return the Borrowed Book Week
Today is:
National beer Day
and
Be Positive - Do Something Day (drink beer ? )

Good morning all !
Easter is also my favorite holiday candy, as well. Malted easter eggs always find their way into my cart. And I have their friends Nestle Crunch eggs and the (year round) Hershy Kisses along for the ride.
"National Beer Day" Hmmmm, I'll have to work that into my ever so busy day !
So does that make tomorrow National Hang Over Day ????? I sure hope not (again)!
I reserve Mondays for "Recover from the weekend" day

ahah the malted easter eggs one of the tops on my list also anything to do with coconut !!!
Then you have the peeps which everyone knows just tastes better when they are left open for a day or so
Can you believe the different varieties of kisses out there !!!!!! rofl I just sent a 10 pound box of the different flavors to one of our favorite posters that lives in Alaska he claims he is going to give half of them to his love over in Sweden
Does anyone else remember those "easter eggs" they had years ago ?
You could get coconut(my favorite) or peanut butter or I think there was a nut one they were about 6" long and had the little candy flowers on top. I remember how you would have to pull the easter grass off the cut part
I have not seen these for years, have you ?
Of course I will be acquiring this years bunny for the freezer collection shortly.

Ok, I have to say it is the Reeses peanut butter eggs... I put my hand on one just yesterday.
Do you know they are making them BIGGER this year???
I put my hand on it, grabbed three, one for myself and each of the kids. Then I said... nope! Don't need it... and put them back.
Oh that was heavy! I love chocolate, and Karla, just like you love chocolate and coconut... I love chocolate and peanut butter.
But I put it back, and Easter is my favorite candy holiday as well....
I did not buy the first piece of candy for the kids for Valentines day, didn't rec any either.
I did good to put those eggs back on the shelf yesterday!

There is a group of little old ladies that make those here in my area every year!
You can get small ones or very big ones.
Peanut butter, coconut, different types of cream fillings... OMG.
They have been at this one country store across fr where I work for more than a week now. The little ones. A certain color pipped on flower for the different flavors.
I look at them, but I have not touched! OMG I cannot even believe it.... I go to get one, and say, nope.. I don't need it...
I will probably regret saying this, and I will get ready to knock wood... but my willpower is strong in this candy situation! Knock Knock

National Caffeine Awareness Month
So, Karla, do I just have to be aware that I am drinking caffeine? Because I wasn't feeling so well yesterday and I didn't drink any all day, and then I started getting the hippie hippie shakes around 6pm and do you wanna know what I did?
I knew you did... I had made a small pot of coffee in the morning and did not drink it, I crawled back in bed after calling in to work, and turned off the coffeepot.
There sat the coffee, all sad and alone, no one to drink it.
I wanted coffee so bad at about 6 last night, I poured some of that morning coffee in my Tink cup and zapped it, I was in heaven! Thats right... pure heaven!
My caffeine fix had been realized. It came to fruition, and all was finally right in the world.

I bought a brobdingnagian bag of pastel colored M&M's that I plan to eat while contemplating the virtues of caffeine and trying to be positive about my life being on hold while we wait for this house to sell. If the chocolate doesn't work, then I may take up drinking beer!
So Karla, is there a 2008 bunny in the freezer already? HAH! never mind, just read your second post.

Now, Nat'l Beer Day? I can get all over that! Thanks for letting me know, Karla.

Russell Stover dark chocolate marshmello eggs. The chocolate melts before you can get it into your mouth. Yum
Also Russell Stover maple egg. I love maple.
So national beer day. Hmmmmm. Guess it's time for a pint of Bass.
