Where else can you go at 3am and talk to someone via PM? I've met some very nice people here and some in person. I'm also guaranteed a laugh a day or more here, and who doesn't like to laugh? It's a creative outlet as well as a visit to the twilight zone in the political forum. It's all good

I can talk about things which people I know IRL aren't interested in. An angel of mercy once saved me in the middle of the night. There are many friendly, helpful, compassionate and intelligent people here. Sometimes the malignant trolls seem to get in the way, but they're just a bump in the road. Back up and run over them a second time. Or not.

I like the forum format. It works for discussion. The internet is now more social media sites like facebook and twitter, which don't work for anything I post.

Stumbled upon CD when searching for info about a restaurant that seemed to have closed. The rest of the forum was interesting, so I stayed.
