Today's Multifaceted Question(s): Do you ever say hello to people you don't know just to be friendly? Yes, quite often, actually.
Actress Michelle Pfeiffer has said she talks to smokers because they're the most interesting people. Is there any kind of person you speak to more because you think they'll be more interesting or fun to talk to? Gosh, these questions of yours are making me introspective. I like to speak with people who have accents. I love accents and if I think someone might have one I speak to them more than other folks.
How do you feel about rock n' roll? I don't care for it.
Have you ever cringed at how unrealistically a locale or job you know was portrayed on a TV show or movie? This one made me chuckle. Yeah, I've been known to grumble at the TV if they misrepresent Social Security law. My father was like that, too. He was a career pilot and if the script or action is faulty regarding flying he would let the TV know about it.

I like that you can have a friendly conversation with practically anyone in the South. So tell us in . . .
Today's Multifaceted Question(s): Do you ever say hello to people you don't know just to be friendly? Yes; frequently. I love to strike up conversations with strangers. Of course, it depends on the venue and context whether that's appropriate or not.
Actress Michelle Pfeiffer has said she talks to smokers because they're the most interesting people. Michelle must have a screw loose. What the heck does smoking have to do with it? Is there any kind of person you speak to more because you think they'll be more interesting or fun to talk to? No. I find most people interesting in some fashion.
How do you feel about rock n' roll? Love it! It makes me smile.
Have you ever cringed at how unrealistically a locale or job you know was portrayed on a TV show or movie? Sure. As a paralegal, I worked at a law firm and did civil trial work for 25+ years. Never have I seen a law office portrayed realistically on a TV show or movie.
The theme of Thursday pictures has been the US states for almost a year. Did you notice? I noticed they were all from the U.S.; didn't realize you'd specifically chosen each one from a different state (if that's what you mean by this question). They're all beautiful!
What theme of pictures, if any, might you suggest for the future? Faces of happy people.
Foodie Questions: What kind of pudding would you like today? Tapioca, please.
Do you like ice in your drinks or not? In pop, iced tea or cocktails, yes. In juice, no. In water, it usually doesn't matter. If you do like, any preference on shape, size or type of ice? I prefer large cubes. They don't melt as quickly as smaller pieces of ice do, so they don't dilute the drink as much.
Just for fun: Just around town or on a trip, what was the last reason you drove or rode in a rental car and where? I drove a rental car for over a week in January of 2016. The month before, an inattentive driver T-boned my car and it took the body shop more than a week to complete all the repairs.
Large or small, do have a rental car experience to share or can you name one kind of car you drove/rode in? January 2016 was the first time I ever drove a rental car. I had ridden in them with others a few times before. I don't recall any interesting stories about them.
Today’s Word: cloying [KLOI-ing] adjective to cause disgust or aversion by an excess of that which is usually desirable ex. a cloying sweetness
This Week Includes: Cleaning Week Egad. My house is a disaster area right now. I have several projects going and have piles of papers and craft stuff in various places in the house. I've been practicing music for an upcoming gig and have a couple of piles of sheet music lying about. Additionally, I'm in the process of packing for a vacation and I've got piles of clothes on the living room sofa and dining room table. I'd be terribly embarrassed if anyone stopped in for a visit right now!
Happy Thursday, everybody! .

Happy Thursday!
Thanks bjh. I was supposed to take the teenagers to this cemetery in the middle of a forest preserve today but it's been raining and raining. I have a spirit board and I was going to tie some fish line to the planchette to scare the crap out of them. That's about the only way that thing is going to move. Speaking of the devil, one is texting me now. Looks like they're coming around 3. Poor John.
Today's Multifaceted Question(s):
Do you ever say hello to people you don't know just to be friendly? Most of the time I will.
Actress Michelle Pfeiffer has said she talks to smokers because they're the most interesting people.
Is there any kind of person you speak to more because you think they'll be more interesting or fun to talk to? Nah. I'll talk to anyone. If they talk to me fine; if they don't fine.
How do you feel about rock n' roll? After the mid-1960s I find some rock and roll is like trying to hear a person speaking to me in a busy truck stop cafe. Many times I can't hear anything but noise. However, like all other music, there is really good R&R and there is really bad.
Have you ever cringed at how unrealistically a locale or job you know was portrayed on a TV show or movie? I believe there was once a producer of horror movies who stated when his attention was drawn to his very unrealistic cardboard tombstomes, "They'll never notice."
Two instances come to mind where the scenes are very incorrect include mountains around Roswell, NM in the movie called "Roswell" and eucalyptus trees in Oklahoma in the old Steinbeck movie called "Grapes of Wrath." Also, has there ever been a western movie set in Texas that has been correct?
The theme of Thursday pictures has been the US states for almost a year. Did you notice? I didn't notice. Sorry
What theme of pictures, if any, might you suggest for the future? Classic automobiles are always nice.
Foodie Questions:
What kind of pudding would you like today? Chocolate.
Do you like ice in your drinks or not? Always unless it's a hot drink.
If you do like, any preference on shape, size or type of ice? Blocks. Crushed ice goes away to quickly.
Just for fun:
Just around town or on a trip, what was the last reason you drove or rode in a rental car and where? Whoa! That was a few years ago. I think I last had a rental car for a business meeting at Phoenix.
Large or small, do have a rental car experience to share or can you name one kind of car you drove/rode in? Again, that was years ago. I have rented convertibles in the past.
