Todays question Tuesday 3-11-08
Good morning everyone
What a great turn out we had yesterday, one of our highest posting days yet.
I want to thank everyone for helping to make this thread so much fun.
Todays inspiration came from one of our loyal posters who has some really good ideas now we really know what he does when sent to his room
So without further delay, here is
Todays question:
Have you ever been told that you remind folks of someone famous ?
Today in history:
This was a big date for 1st's in sports
March 11, 1882 Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association organized in Princeton New Jersey
March 11, 1892 1st public basketball game (Springfield, Massachuetts)
March 11, 1927 1st golden gloves tournament
Word of the day:
assuage \uh-SWAYJ\, verb:
1. To make milder or less severe; to reduce the intensity of; to ease; to relieve.
2. To appease; to satisfy.
3. To soothe or calm; to pacify.
Today is:
National Oatmeal-Nut Waffles Day
and
National Organize your Home Office Day
and how could we forget
Worship of Tools Day
their meeting & celebration will be at 11:00 am in the Sears Craftman dept

National Oatmeal-Nut Waffles Day? Gee, what a day to leave near a Waffle House! I'm not that lucky. I guess I'll have to celebrate that next week when I get to Delaware for a week!

hmmm waffle house that may have me rethinking my breakfast plans
years ago when I was younger folks use to tell me all the time I reminded them of a young Patty Duke
ok who remembers the song
"cousins identical cousins all the way,
They laugh alike, they walk alike,
At times they even talk alike —
You can lose your mind,
When cousins are two of a kind."
My hubby has been told he reminds folks of a young Jack Nicholson

While Cathy adores a minuet, the "Ballet Rousse", and crepe suzette,
Our Patty loves to rock and roll, a hot dog makes her lose control,
What a wild duet!
Oh the garbage that remains stuck in the crevices of the grey matter ... lol

Someone is always telling me I look like someone, and although I am quite flattered, I don't always see it.
Sharon Stone
Kelly Preston
Lea Thompson
Jessica Lange
Joanna Kerns
Linda Gray
I don't see the connections either.

When I was a young girl (10 years old or so), people told me I looked like Shirley McClaine.
