2) Build an extremely cool house. Not an edifice. But a place that fits my exacting and rarefied sense of aesthetics. 3) Buy a beach place and a great sailboat. 4) Travel. 5) Pay off the mortgages of all my family members. 6) Oh. Quit my job. |

First would make sure our grandchildrens college will be paid and set up something for them.
Second set our children up financially. Third help people in need. Fourth and last-would be us-maybe some travel, build a home near the beach. That kind of windfall is much nicer if you spread it around and share. |

If I won the lottery I would first get a financial advisor and put a lawyer on retainer. I would then pay off the house I'm currently in and give it to my friend who just had a baby, (she would be responsible for insurance and property taxes) if she wanted it. I would move to a warmer climate and make sure I was unpublished (better yet no phone....lol).
Other than that I would follow my financial advisor's advice so I didn't end up declaring bankruptcy in a few years like a lot of other lottery winners. Of course winning the lottery requires buying a ticket so I guess I'll never win. ![]() |
