Thats sad, wouldnt that be a form of animal abuse? Why didnt anyone bother taking that thing off way back when they first noticed it?

I'm pretty sure that it has got to be unhealth. You'd have to eat like a Sparrow. Heck, I get uncomfortable when my waistband on my jeans gets too tight after some good Mexican food!

It's abuse every time someone carelessly discards a six pack ring.
But nobody saw this particular turtle until it was too late. I think maybe they worry that if they took it off now, the turtle's insides might be even worse.
Here is another case. They did take it off that turtle--it wasn't quite as bad off.
Ironic that a human being will do this on purpose, while turtles and other creatures suffer from human beings' carelessness.
Truth really is stranger than fiction.
