I think a pack was $0.28 at the Air Force BX in 1968 but at a salary of about $300/month for a two striper, I guess that seemed pretty expensive. Actually, I can't remember what my salary was back then but I do remember it was $411/month as a 4-striper when I left in 1972.

That's called Ko-Rec-Type. When I was a kid, I used to have fun with those by putting them into the typewriter in lieu of paper, then typing directly onto the carriage. When you type on it, it would leave a white letter on the black carriage.

In High School the parking lot was full of muscle cars, they didn't have compact cars then.

Everyone drove a muscle car there were also trucks and a few station wagons.

Even if someone had a muscle car that needed a little fixing up, that was ok. The thing I remember most besides how all these cars were so cool was how awesome these cars sounded, the sound of the engine.

Of course, everyone was always racing everyone, we would do that on our lunch hour.

I always knew which friend was coming over when I heard the sound of the engine driving down the street.

Good memories
