I bought that for my nephew. Sort of. It was a Harris Tweed. He wore it in college to things like the Professor's annual student party. Some older guy would always say, "nice jacket." I found it at TJMaxx on a rack of ladies sale clothing. Seventeen dollars. Thirty eight long. Really. It hung in my closet for a few years before he moved near us and I realized he needed stuff.. It fit like a glove.

and gas stations gave stuff away. The only thing I specifically remember was that Sinclair gave away green inflatable brontasaurusses. However that's spelled. It was their symbol and, being into dinosaurs at the time, was all kinds of happy when my father got one for me.

And for a kid.. the Brontosaurus was 10-12 feet high and 30 feet long from the ad / banner hanging up in the window of the station... and when you opened it what a let down..

Back in Elementary school, we had to have a school supplies box. Since our grandfather was treasurer of the local Elks club, we always used cigar boxes. My favorite was Dutch Masters, but all of them had gorgeous full-color art. Even as a 1st grader, I thought the regular school supply boxes were lame by comparison. The cigar boxes always had a tobacco odor, too.

I never had any desire to smoke, but I liked the cigar boxes.
