The decency of people was the rule of the day and doing the right thing was a source of pride.

I'm so old I remember :

The threat of WW III , and teachers showing us survival techniques and the announcements on the radio telling everyone what to watch for and if it's seen, "go to the nearest fallout shelter".

Do you know whose birthday it was the other day? Cheerios! 75 years! I do love Cheerios! Even if they are too much here in Tennessee.

When I was in CalifFUNia twenty some years ago... I remember buying the square ice cream cones- or maybe rectangle, NOT round. It was in Santa Maria and I cannot remember the store's name. Was it Thrifty? That seems right...

I bet that is it. Why is it gone??

Okay, now I am wistful for the summer I spent at my grandmothers when I was (gulp) 20. I rode a borrowed bike all around town. I knew that town by the time I was done. LoL I have had my first date there. It was bad! Not wistful for that!

My mom came for a short while (We were living in MO at the time) and THEN I got to drive! HAAA Want to know that story?!

I had lost my wallet, actually was stolen at Disneyland and so, I didn't have my driver's license. Soooo, I went to the CA DMV and got a temporary license! Resourceful ! I got to drive!

Okay, have to be completely honest, I am wistful for almost any time except now. Ah, well. That's life.
