My wife and I were talking a little while ago, and we realized we both remember when the championship figure skating was held outside rather than in indoor arenas.

...Same with local high school hockey games...

"Is your refrigerator running?" ***...Well, ya better go catch it it!!!!!...***

Rick Allen having 2 arms was great too!

I remember my mom being home every day. Not out of work or anything - just home, takin' care of business.

And I also seem to remember stink bombs. Those noxious vials of sulfur which would make the entire student body gag in the halls - far better reactions than some silly little bomb scare.

Please fill us in on the folded paper games...

Also, there was bottle cap football. When milk was still served in bottles at school my buddies and I would play this by sliding the paper bottle cap across the table at each other. If it protruded over the edge without falling off, it was a touchdown. The extra point was attempted by flicking the cap with with your middle finger through the goalposts created by your opponent's index fingers touching each other and thumbs protruding into the air. total guy-thing - never saw the girls playing this one.

yep i remember the boys playing "football" lol
the paper future game is that little thing you hold by slipping in your 2 thumbs and forfingers and opening and closing it back and forth. "pick a number" , then "pick a career" etc.
i will try to find a picture--lol
