I'm so old I remember... When a kid would get a empty thread spool, rubber band and a couple of toothpicks and keep themself entertained all day I remember our cell phones were two cans and a string. I remeber playing with toy guns and nobody thought we would grow up to be killers

Wink Different times ~ different names

Yeah,,, playing cops and robbers with your finger and thumb as a gun, nobody ever got killed.

I remember the Jesse James gang wore bandannas and used guns to rob people, and we called them outlaws. Today our money is taken away by the oil companies and the politicians who allow them to do this ~ they don’t use bandannas and don’t carry guns and we call them corporations and my elected officials.

Don Kirshner's Rock concerts. Loved them! Had to stay up till about 1 am or so to catch them.

Black light posters to go with the black lights (although I do believe they still have them).

Led Zeppelin as a "new band" playing at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago. Must've been late 60's? Mid 60's? Cheap lawn tickets for Janis Joplin at Ravinia Festival in Highland Park, Ill. Believe we went for free. This would've been the summer of '68 or '69?

Similar thing. First home, it was '75, I believe. Mortgage payment was $337 per month and it included real estate tax.

I remember asking the car salesman in the late 70s if they gave 20 year mortgages on new mini-vans. He looked at me funny and I said we had just bought a house for $18,000 (the same price as the mini-van) and we got a 20 year mortgage for it.
