This is an interesting question because I can tell you some things about the 'mailman'.
I usually mail my things out from the post office. When we lived in Ontario every housewife would wait for the mailman because he was very much admired (and he lived right behind me). But of course he had a job to do and flirting wasnt included, he wasnt one to 'play around' especially while working.
Long story short, when my son was about 2, a neighbour was over, we were sitting on my front lawn, talking, whatever, it was spring so it was nice outside. The mailman was making his rounds and was walking up to my door (we had one of those areas where the mailboxes were just outside your front door, remember those days?) when Shelly made a comment that if my husband was there he would have freaked out. She said 'Wow, Robbie looks so much like the mailman'! Not to mention, his name was also Robert! It took me by surprise and probably embarrassed Robert too, but that was one time I'll never forget. No, it wasnt the mailman's kid....

Of course I get my mail everyday. Otherwise I'd have fan letters packed in there so tight it wouldn't open.
Actually, I just started getting tax returns - I got the state one ... but it makes me really happy when the fed return comes.
Karla, if I had to guess - your neighor is retired.
Sleeping Day is very fitting. I was just talking about how I'm going to go sleep right now, over in mindless.

I get the mail everyday, I only seem to get bills though. That or credit card applications, ohh how I get tired of those. Although we are planning a vacation and I've sent for travel guides, so it will be fun for those to come.
The dog seems to be celebrating sleep day, he is snoring like crazy! Might have to have waffles tonight, a little breakfast for dinner.

Yep, get the mail every day. While I don't "wait" for her to pull up to the mailbox, I have been known to check the red flags around the cul-de-sac a few times to see if she's been around!
UBatz, how could we ever forget you??? Glad to see you had a chance to say "Hey!".
Take care, all.

I'm on the do not mail list, and I do all my bills online, so I don't get too much mail. I may go 4-5 days before picking it up. No mail makes me happy. Leave me alone.

Oh, noooo
I only check once a week, there is never anything good in there. Except the last couple weeks I did check a couple times a week because I was waiting for my income tax.

During the week I get the mail every day. Saturday it depends on what I'm doing. The PO box (where the money comes in) I check more regularly around the send-me-money time of the month, hit and miss otherwise.
Sleep? What's that? I seem to be in the middle of one of my insomnia periods, only it's a bit of a strange one. Instead of laying there trying to get to sleep, I go to sleep, then wake up and can't get back to sleep. Gimme three weeks and I'll probably be back to "normal".

I no longer get mail, but I do get plenty of annoying Junk Mail! I do get that garbage out of the mailbox everyday, and if it weren't for the problem of identity thefts, I'd get even and let that garbage pile up in the mail box, so they wouldn't have to put more junk in there!
I pay 99 percent of my bills online, so I don't get them in the mail anymore, But I guess the US Postal Service has to stay busy, so they deliver junk mail, and advertising flyers everyday now! 99 percent of the stuff I get from the US postal service is junk mail, like credit card, and mortgage offers.
Here's a question.. what do we call the stuff women get in the mail? FeMail ?

Yes. Sometimes if I am real busy though, I might forget and just get it the next day. For security reasons I try to get it every day. In this area sometimes there are issues with "identitiy theft" that make getting your mail out every day probably the wisest thing to do. That said, again, I don't always.
