Todays question Wednesday 3-26-08
Good morning everyone
Yet another crazy day ahead, I have to be out of the house in 40 mins and here I am in my robe so here goes
Ok time to "confess" because I know your out there, the secret community of folks that will now admit to
Todays question:
Do you read or have you read the "supermarket check out gossip rags" ?
Do you pick up the Star, or the National Enquirer or whats the other one the Globe along with your bread eggs & milk
Or do you purposely pick the long line at the store so you can "oh I will just take a look while waiting" ?
Maybe you pick your hairdresser or nail salon because they always have the latest issues
Remember "enquiring" minds want to know
Today in history:
March 26, 1953 Dr. Jonas Salk announces vaccine to prevent polio
Word of the day:
misnomer \mis-NO-muhr\, noun:
1. The misnaming of a person in a legal instrument, as in a complaint or indictment.
2. Any misnaming of a person or thing; also, a wrong or inapplicable name or designation.
Today is:
National Spinach Day - sigh I guess we need a healthy day every once in awhile, but that doesn't mean I am going to eat any

I look at them sometimes. My mother buys every one, so I end up reading them when I am bored sometimes.

Occaisionally, if its a long line or there seems to be a problem with someone in front of me, delaying the line, then yeah, I'll pick up a magazine and browse through it, but wont buy them, about the only 'magazine' I get occaisionally is the newest Dell word searches. Those mags are rather amusing though, lol.

While I was at the doctor's office with my wife, I picked up something called OK Magazine. What a hunk of trash! No, not interested in any of these star gossip rags.
When Lindsay Lohan starts reading about MY life every day, I'll give some thought to reading about hers!

I have to admit that I do not. I see what the paparazzi does to people's lives. I guess after Princess Diana died, it really turned me off. Gossip makes me crazy.
My sister loves them...." I am a love child of an Alien" type stuff....

I get the majority of my groceries at Walmart, where the lines are always long... I check out the headlines and the cover pics(especially if Matthew McConaughey is featured), but never buy them.
LOVE spinach salad... hate cooked spinach.

OK, don't tell anyone, but YES!! Not only that, I bought my wife a subscription to People magazine for Christmas as it is her favorite guilty pleasure. Well, guess who usually reads it before her!!
Have a great day everyone!! Today is my last day to wear glasses & contacts (I hope) - Lasik surgery tomorrow!!!

I haven't bought one in years. But I do like to scan through them at checkout or at least look at the headlines. Funniest one I ever saw in my life was years ago, it had a headline about a girl found that was raised by sheep in the mountains. The byline was the best. "She was heard 'bleating'". HAHAHAHAHA
