Default Todays question Friday 3-28-08

Good morning everyone
I am not sure if it is a YAY it's Friday or OMG it's Friday I am never going to get everything finished in time for tomorrows fundraiser
rofl yes I am entering the panic zone
sigh lol ok I feel better

The inspiration for today thread came from a poster on another thread.
Thank you Machinist for giving me the idea for

Todays question:

[b]Have you ever fallen asleep while on the computer ?

or as I have called it, when your head does the "when the red red robin goes bob bob bobbing along" impression

Today in history:

March 28, 1797 Nathaniel Briggs of NH patents a washing machine

Word of the day:

hullabaloo \HUL-uh-buh-loo\, noun:
A confused noise; uproar; tumult. hmmm until today I never knew noise could be confused

Today is:

National Something on a Stick Day

ok I just have to make this ? 'O the day a two-parter

What is your favorite food on a stick ?

Have you ever fallen asleep while on the computer?

Almost. I used to be involved with an online chat group and every so often, the group would keep chatting late into the night. Sometimes, WAY late into the night and morning ...

One year, on the night the clocks lose an hour of sleep, we decided that since it was going to be a short night, we would stay up all night and chat on line. It was a mad house. We had more fun that night than you could imagine. But around 4AM, I found myself "almost" dozing at the keyboard. Didn't fall asleep, but it was close.

you forgot to tell us your favorite food on a stick !!!

yes I have caught myself doing the "bob bob bobbing"
years ago mr karla and I would play everquest and around midnight or so I would find myself starting to doze if things got slow in the game.

most recently I have found if I have gotten up really early and in the afternoon while playing jewelquest my eyes often close
lol that happened last night as a matter of fact,it was around 11:30 mr karla was playing WOW and I was messing around with jewelquest and I found my eyes closing so I logged off and went to bed.

it probably has something to do with the staring at all the different jewels trying to match them it just lulls you into a complete state of relaxation

lets see favorite food on a stick
well the only food I have ever eaten that was on a stick was ice cream and maybe cotton candy
though I think they need a mac n cheese version of corn dogs

Not yet-but as a CD addict I can't say it'll never happen!

Food on a stick-corndogs, great a local fairs. Close by us is a winery and every Sept. they have Grape Stomp for a weekend. It's filled with crafters, music, food-pork chops on a stick, shrimp on a stick. The big event is the Lucy and Ethel Grape Stomp that's a hoot.

Our local "Hard Wok Buffet" makes a chicken on a stick that's really good, corn dogs are always a fave, and I'd never turn down a Good Humor Chocolate Eclair ice cream bar.

I fall asleep just about everyday on the computer. I have a laptop that I put in my lap on a very comfy chair/ottoman combo, and I just get too comfy reading. Off I go. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the political stuff I like to read

My brother wanted me to make egg rolls on a stick. I laughed at him until I went to the state fair a few years ago, and there they were!

Fall asleep while on the computer? Not around y'all!!!! Have to stay awake just to keep up with everything that goes on. May have come close tho', if I'm using the laptop instead of the iMac.

Food on a stick would have to be any kind of ice cream confection. But haven't had any in years. Now you've made me hungry for some.
