Name a couple of uses for newspapers besides reading the news. When I was in college I lived in the dorms. After someone had left for spring break we stuffed his room full of wadded up newspaper. I am talking floor to ceiling, wall to wall stuffed. When he got back he could only open his door a couple inches. He had to spend all day bagging up newspaper and hauling it to the freight dock.

TODAY'S QUESTIONS
Do you ever use coupons for:
grocery items?
cleaning products?
other household items?
clothing?
fast-food restaurants?
dine-in/upscale restaurants?
services?
other?
Rarely or never to all of the above.Even when I try to remember to use a coupon, I either lose it or forget about it until after it has expired. Meanwhile coupons clutter up the place and are generally a pain to deal with. So I no longer bother.
In my state, several decades ago, we used to be able to collect coupons, take them to the service desk at a grocery store, and get cash for them (not using them to purchase products). I'm not sure whether other states permitted that. Do you recall ever getting cash for coupons?
I've heard of it but never have known anyone who did that.
When was the last time you used a coupon and where did you use it?
I don't remember because it was probably sometime in the last century. But I have used online discount codes. Does that count?
BONUS QUESTIONS
What type of window coverings are in your home:
curtains?
horizontal blinds? <---- This one
vertical blinds?
drapes? <---- This one
valances?
other? Wood shutters on the bathroom window.
Do you clean your own carpets and floors, or do you have professionals do it?
We had it done professionally once, and since then I've been spot-cleaning it myself.
Have you ever had a maid service clean your home?
No. I'm the maid. Are you a stickler about keeping a neat home or are you laid back about such things?
I like things neat and orderly but don't get upset about a speck of dust or a smudge here and there. Mr. Bay doesn't mind clutter but can't tolerate dirt. So between the two of us, the house stays pretty clean.
Do you store your dishes:
in a cabinet? <---- This one
in a hutch?
on a shelf?
in a drawer?
on a counter?
other? Vintage dishes from his mother and mine are stored in boxes in the garage.
EXTRA CREDIT Q'S

No, but I have an online subscription. Do you subscribe to any hard-copy magazines?
Not any more. I got tired of the clutter and canceled all our subscriptions except Via and AARP, which come free of charge with our AAA and AARP memberships. Do you ever purchase a periodical from a store or news stand?
Once in a while, if it looks especially interesting. Name a couple of uses for newspapers besides reading the news.
I used to use them for lining the bird cage when I had budgies.
Crumpled newspapers are great for cleaning windows. No streaks!
I used newspaper to wrap some of my old dishes and other fragile items for storage.
