Of course I have. As the resident lifelong bachelor, I am used to doing things my way.
I also read somewhere a while back that it is healthy to take a bite of your dessert first before your main course. Go figure. Guess its the sugar, who knows.

If you would've asked what that favorite dessert would be, then you would have a million responses. I like chocolate cakes and pies. Or anything with fresh strawberries.

Not that I can remember. But, on the weekends, we will frequently have coffee & cake as the Germans do, before a lighter dinner. But have never used a Poloroid camera in the process. Or at any other time, for that matter!

When the kids were teenagers, occasionally we'd go to Serendipity 3 on East 60th Street and have huge ice cream sundaes, instead of dinner!

Nothing like ice cream on a warm NYC evening except perhaps watermelon.

I don't think it hurt them!

It certainly didn't hurt me.

Todays Question:

Have you ever ordered desert first when you have gone out to eat?
"Desert"? I'm sure you meant "Dessert" Karla.. They are a little tastier than "Desert" sands...

I've done it a couple of times because my blood glucose level was a little low (hypoglycemia) in which case, I needed to have something right away.

Usually no, I dont. But a couple of times some Ive gone with friends and/or family to Applebee's where they have that special, you pick your 3 courses fro 9.95 and dessert is included. Yes you guessed it, I order the chocolate mousse every time!
As far as the chocolate truffle day today....well....every day is chocolate day in some way, with me, lol.

Yes. Many times. My sweet tooth runs my life. And ya wanna know something else? I have done it with every meal - breakfast, lunch and dinner. Order dessert and coffee first. Nothing else. When I have finished dessert, I'll then order a meal. Yep. And have done this with a friend who joined me, too.

I don't order it first, but I have been known to order only a cup of soup when out to dinner because I want to eat an entire dessert by myself.

I have never ordered dessert first but for breakfast, on occasion, I will have pie and coffee instead of a "real breakfast". Usually if there is a dessert I just can't live without I have been know to order it to go. It isn't quite as good as having it there but at least I get it.

Hey, cinderobyn, that's how I feel with the Diet soda and french fries. They must cancel eachother out .
