no i have never ordered dessert first, but let me tell you what happened just this weekend. my family came to visit and we all went to try a new restaurant. we had a long wait, but it was worth it. we only ordered entres and when asked about dessert we all said "no thanks, too full". but the server had made a mistake with our order and to say sorry brought over a dessert. we all split it and all of a sudden we had room for a free dessert...we all said it--but still ate it.

I've never ordered a dessert first. I'd rather fill up on the entree - that's the good stuff!!

Of course after finishing a very yummy bacon cheeseburger there was "No room left"
Though it got me thinking and because we all know with me that can be dangerous here is

Todays Question:

Have you ever ordered dessert first when you have gone out to eat?

You know what !! I think I am going to add my own special holiday for this week (check below)

My father used to do that,He said, that way he made sure he had room for it...

Today in history:

April 21,1940 - The radio program, Take It or Leave It, was first heard on CBS radio on this day. Bob Hawk offered contestants a top prize of $64. No, there were no lovely parting gifts or consolation prizes. Losers just left.

Now that was a bummer...

April 21, 1948 1st Polaroid camera was sold in US hmmm if it had only come out 8 years earlier

I think I still have one of those around somewhere..

Word of the day:

chimera \ky-MIR-uh\, noun:
1. (Capitalized) A fire-breathing she-monster represented as having a lion's head, a goat's body, and a serpent's tail.
2. Any imaginary monster made up of grotesquely incongruous parts. That hides in closets and under kids beds

I see you've met my ex-mother-in-law....

Today is :

National Chocolate-Covered Cashew Truffle Day
it is
National TV-Turnoff Week (21 to 27)
and the newly created
Karla's special "National Order Desert First Week" (21 to 28)

Now I can handle any one of those, especially the chocolate covered cashews....

I have never ordered dessert first and usually I'm too full after the main meal. It's something to think about, though. Usually, we will have something for dessert at home a couple hours later.

I have two different types of polaroid cameras. I haven't used them in a long time, but I used them a lot when the kids were little.

Funny-we went out to lunch today and boy was I tempted to order desert first!

Think we had a Polaroid until we moved in 2005.

Those polaroids were real popular before digital came out...and you couldnt do reprints, that was the downside.

You're making me hungry! Yup, I'm a fat & salt kinda person myself, rather than sugar.
