Hmmmm, that's a good one, no caffeine for me. Love root beer, 7-UP, water. Nope, no coffee.

Oh it's just an expression NWV. But I have hunted dove and quail.
Speaking of killing things, somebody told me that Coke or Pepsi will kill certain kinds of weeds.. I never tried it, but I believe it. If you let Coca Cola or Pepsi sit in your bathtub or toilet for 3 hours, hard water deposits will be gone!

Getting back on topic here: I do like to do some weeding late in the afternoon ans moving things around, planters, figurines and such. Not too fond of repairing damage by those underground varmints.
Oh, MMike, still deer hunt during season! Plus we still target shoot at times. Teaching the grandsons is an adventure. They do pretty good.

This river rock thing has me totally confused. We used to get large flat rocks out of the creek to make stepping stones in our yard. Are you talking about removing the rocks from the water?? We just went to where the water had washed around them and picked them up. Are you talking about putting them in the yard or removing them because you don't want them there anymore??
AliceT, I was being silly about not washing the cars. We can't wash cars, because we are still on water restrictions. My Dh is about to have a fit because he says the automatic washers do not do a good job. That doesn't sound much like heaven, does it. The best thing about NC is the people. It is a beautiful time of the year here now. I like our Spring and Fall seasons best. Third would be Winter. Our area has miserable heat in the Summer. We are not as bad as the SC Low Country though. We went on vacation to Edisto Island in August and the heat index was 115.
Maybe we can drive our car to the mountains and park it in the creek to wash it like we did when I was young. Now that was fun washing a car in a bathing suit.

I had thought about using those, but I heard snakes like to sun on them. We will just keep everything green and Dh put out a lot of lime. Our grass is really green. Before I go to work in an area, I throw out moth balls. I don't see but about one snake a year in our yard, but that is enough to give me the creeps.

river rock removal is the devil, landscape gravel is right up there.
I am helping a friend with his landscape project and he wants to use lava rock "mulch"
I told him he better be set on the plants and get really tough landscape fabric, because as pretty as it looks once that stuff is down making changes to the planting is really tough and we won't even go down the weeding path
NCN - I don't want to creep you out, but Moth balls don't repel snakes, and they would be bad for your garden because mothballs are toxic. They can cause harm to animals livers.
