Kept unneeded lights off. Fed 'my' birds. Laundry in cold water. Hugged a few trees. Checked for ticks first. . lol and stayed off of the computer most of the day, for once. Hmmmm, wonder, did any of this really help? Oh,well. Happy EARTH DAY to y'all.

I bought a Burning bush to plant in my front garden. Thought that would cheer up old Mother Earth!

If everyone did that today ... and every day, it would help immensely. I've started to turn off my computer at night, and of course, installed CFL lights and reduced unnecessary driving and all the rest. Not into actually tree-hugging behavior yet, though I do like them.
I used to keep in on when my son was serving in the military because you never knew what time you might get an email, and I don't sleep all that well at night so I was always checking email. Now that he's home, any email that might come my way can wait until morning.

I not only turn this contraption off, I unplug all electrical things I am not using. You'd be surprised how much electricity comes through the outlet just by having something plugged in. Unplug it and you stop that nonsense.
