Did you ever make a negative remark about someone else to another person only to find out later that this remark could have applied either to them or one of their relatives? Unfortunately I did years ago and to this day am ashamed. Apologized shortly afterwards but it sticks with you for awhile. The saying, 'If you can't say anything nice, it's best not to say anything', really applies.

Did you ever burp, either intentionally or unintentionally, while others were present around you?
I'm usually a well-mannered person, but one time back around 1989, after eating lunch, I was in this area just outside of my office looking at a computer monitor to help another person in the department resolve an issue. There was an entrance to the area, and I didn't hear the door open, but after eating lunch, I accidentally let out a mild burp, and at that same moment, a very good-looking gal, who worked in the accounting department, walked into the area and she heard me belch, then I heard her say "That's gross!".. I tried to explain to her that it was unintended and she kept jokingly saying "oh sure it wasn't!".
I suppose if I wanted to make a good impression on her, belching wouldn't have been the way to do it!

Did you ever ~ well it happened to me only once. Many years ago I was on the floor watching TV and the next thing you know I had a burp, a hiccup, a sneeze, and a gas explosion all at the same time. I thought the world came to an end.

Did you ever ~ take a walk on the boardwalk at the ocean to enjoy the evening with your best girl (at that time)? Hearing the ocean and smelling the fresh air is something very special.
And did you ever ~ spend the night “under” the boardwalk at the ocean and enjoy hearing the waves come in, and seeing the morning sunrise come up? I did. ( you have to be on the east coast for this one )

Oh how romantic. No.
Did you ever walk in to the kitchen first thing in the morning, and wonder how the heck an acorn got to be in the middle of the kitchen floor, then when you plucked it up, it turned out to be a little errant piece of cat poop?
Me neither, but it happened to my husband this morning!

Yep. Have spent the night on the beach a few times. Some not really by choice. In my youth, spring break type of things.
