Nice!

Perhaps we could create a Dantian Inferno scheme and ascribe a fitting level of Hell for: the doctors, the lawyers, the plaintiff lawyers... telemarketers, spammers, door-to-door magazine salesmen, door-to-door Seventh Day Adventists... politicians of course!... jackhammer operators, Harley posse riders... cable news talking heads, American Idol panelists... Wall Street inside traders, French cuff-wearing foppish American bankers... cigarette companies, Matthew Lesko, corner drug dealers, college kids who proselytize on campus grounds... the inventors of plastics... John Calvin, Martin Luther, Henry Ford, Abraham Lincoln, George Soros, Rush Limbaugh, Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Reverend Jesse Jackson, Lewis Farrakhan, O.J. Simpson... Child Molesters "R" Us -- er, most collars in the Catholic Church... Hitler, Pol Pot, Stalin -- all dictators and tyrants... Malcolm X, most country club cowboys, Danielle Steele, Gavin Newsome, Roger Clemens, all groove rock Grateful Dead knock-offs, the remaining members of the Dead who persist in butchering a brand of music that only Jerry himself made interesting... people who trade in tchotchkes, gewgaws, and kitsch on Ebay -- especially the dude who's selling Obama's half-eaten waffle for $10k... used car salesmen... all of Hollywood, all of 5th Avenue... environmentalist activists, oblivious polluters... pimps, woman-beaters, killers, maimers, butcherers, torturers, and imperialists -- but not the U.S. military per se... not... I mean maybe...

Sheesh. A tall order indeed. Probably more efficient to condemn each of the dozens of deserving professions to a particular circle of Hell -- kill more birds with fewer stones. Dealing with millions, even billions of lowlife individual scumbags, attempting to marry each with the most apropos circle is too daunting for even me.

So, I wouldn't say it is anywhere near the most over rated
MD/MBA comes in handy. Then again, your looking at 12 years + of school.

A good doctor is great. Modern surgery is truly amazing.

But, it seems to me that most doctors are little more than drug pushers.

Best to keep yourself informed about any issues you may have because the "see your doctor about what is best for you" is a joke in most cases. Ever notice that it is doctors who prescribe the deadly drugs that come up in clinical trials that are stopped early because they are killing people?

Good Doctors have saved my life a couple of times. I respect them. Pandering and corrupt politicians on the other hand....

I totally agree, I have nothing but the utmost respect for a good doctor especially a surgeon who saves lives. But I do think that there are a lot of bad doctors these days. These are the doctors who constantly misdiagnose you and make up reasons for your condition that are wrong and just give you random prescriptions for problems that you don't even have, they are overrated. I think scientists, engineers, and teachers/professors are some underrated fields. Scientists and engineers are primarily responsible for the modern world we live in good or bad, and teachers/professors are what make future generations. I think a news anchor and politicians are two of the most overrated fields, its a a job usually based mostly on charisma rather than intelligence and creativity. Both fields distort facts and neither tells you the whole story anymore.

OK sure...MDs are over rated. Until you are ill or have a disease of some sort....and you run crying to one.

What a joke! Of course, there are good MDs and not so good ones, just like any profession, teachers, plumbers, bankers, etc. MDs are still human and make mistakes like in any other career type. But to put them above being human and unable to make a mistake is ridiculous. Haven't you ever in your career?

I'm sure all the sick, pregnant, etc, would argue that physicians are overrated. I'm sure you will be singing a different tune when you are in need of medical attention as well...

I said I have nothing but the utmost respect for real doctors but I have an issue with the fact that most doctors nowdays are merely drug pushers, i'm not talking about surgeons for people curing diseases mainly the emergency care type places, walk in doctors, general doctors. The see your doctor about what is best for you" is a joke in most cases like the poster above said. I know plenty of people that refuse to go to the doctor because they feel it will do more harm, and they'll try to push unnecessary drugs on them that usually gives them other bad side effects. I have issue with the medical field today nobody is really cured it is nothing more than drug addiction. I was agreeing with Tesaje's assertion. Look how they unnecessarily pushed so much antibiotic use which has now led to an overuse and many resistant forms of bacteria.

Nobody is saying doctors are above human but it is obvious nowadays that a large number of doctors don't care and just feed you drugs so pharmaceuticals can make more profit, i never said anything about mistakes I'm talking about the way the whole field is now. They don't take the time to diagnose you and understand what's really wrong they just give you a prescription for a problem you may or may not have in many cases u don't have it so it leads to some other problem. I'm not the only one that feels likes this, even some doctors are not happy with how the field is not about peoples health anymore but drugs. Its my opinion you may not see it this way but many other people do but I respect doctors greatly.
