I spend too much time on CD already!!!! even if I wanted to I would not have the material time to post on other forums.

I read/participate in a total of 10 forums. CD seems to be the best and most time consumming because of the variety of information.

I posted on several Skateboard related forums about 4 years ago when I was first getting our website off the ground but I don't post there now. I only have time to post here a few times a week as it is.

I have been on several gardening forums(one of which has other forums on many topics), but have pretty much narrowed it down to the latter one, and am on an off-topic one there. I like it very much, and feel I have gained several cyber friends there.

Oops, I forgot to answer your question about comparing it with this one. This one has features that I really like, ( like this one of editing, and others ), that the other one does not have. It's former moderator was very strict about posters being offensive. Offenders were quickly banned ! Religion is tabu, as well as politics. I am beginning to think that may be a good idea !

I'm not exactly computer-savvy, and don't go looking around much for stuff online, but prior to stumbling, literally, onto City Data, I belonged to two health-related forums, and then was invited to join a very small, almost private forum on the same health-related topic.

I especially like City Data because there are so many topics here, and I like the people who choose to post here. I also like the fact the site is moderated. I cannot imagine a site, not. Reminds me too much of an online book chat group I tried years ago, and those of us who seriously wanted to discuss books, couldn't, for all of the riff-raff.

I still visit the private health-related forum, but I come here, to City Data for my online forum 'fixes,' junkie that I am now.

This has become pretty much it for me. I still go to a few forums that I was on before discovering this, but they are pain in the neck, kid w attitude forums, a bunch of surfer smart alecks who think they know everything about everything. And you better not have a lick of conservative commentary if you don't want to get booed off the site. Oh, and there are lots of trolls too. Poorly moderated. Yuk.

Guess I'd have to the say, same as above except for the woman part. I used to play euchre a lot but not since joining CD. Mostly been in the games & trivia but sometimes put my 2 cents in the state or some other topics.

That's true Aksarben, where else can you tell somebody "Go to your room", without the other person getting offended?
