Now that’s nice! I like the way you (and the little one) handle the calls.

Just teach your kids to say: Can I get you to hold, the fillets are burning on the grill or Hold on the Lobster Tails are only supposed to cook till they turn red and then go play video games and come back now and then top see if they are still holding on.
In between getting them to hold they could say, can I buy more than one cause the company that sells unlicensed coins on late night tv limits sales to a maximum of 6....lol
Get them to refer to every Telemarketer as Hodgie from Johnny Quest.

I too screen calls BUT in most cases I answer them..If there is something related to the kids in my care, I immediately pick up....Sometimes I will glance and say I will call back later.
I am getting so many calls with people bypassing the DO NOT CALL LIST...now they are coming in on our cell phones.

Caller ID does the work for me. If I don't recognize the number, I don't answer.
I used to have the call intercept... it worked really well!!

Yes of course I do, it might be my dear sweet mother in law who talks for hours about nothing
I remember when the song Hair was so popular, I loved it.

Back in the early 60s before voice mail and caller id and all that, we used to get tons of telemarketing calls. My mom was so exasperated that she would just put the handset down and go about her business, then in 5 minutes or so come back and no one would be on the other end, then she'd hang up the phone.
But one day she did that, hung up the phone, only to have it ring again, and the telemarketer told her how rude she was! My mom took it so personally, we told her to forget about it. The telemarketer was a jerk.

Todays question :
Do you screen your incoming calls ?
Bonus question : If you do,which method do you use ?
|
Yes I screen all my calls.
I actually have Caller ID w/ Security Screen. Which means that anon numbers don't even ring through to my house. The person calling has to enter their number or unblock it for my phone to ring. Then I look at the Caller ID and see if I want to pick up.
