Where Would You Not Take Your Child To Work
Today is "Take Your Child to Work" day. There are alot of jobs where that would not be a good idea.
If I were a human cannonball I would not take my child to work.
What comes to your mind?

What a great thread!
Let me think..... if I cleaned windows on high-rises, I would not take my children to work.

I don't much think I'd have carried my daughter into the OR, or let her sit in the gallery -- not unless she was older, and really, really wanted to be a DR, herself. Nor do I think, for safety reasons, I'd have let her ride on the back of a garbage truck with me. And of course, 'stripper' comes to mind.
She did get to come sit in my classroom at the HS, and while I thought it'd be a 'treat' for her, all she said at the end of the day was, "Mom, that was just like being at school." She did tell me I was funny, though.

I have had that dilemma in my career for real.
There was no way, I was taking my child into the meat room with me, between sharp knives, huge grinders, chemicals and band saws.
Whenever that day came up, my boss scheduled me to watch and fill the meat case, hot dog, lunch meat and cheese case, and do some outside the meat room cleaning.
It was always so much fun anyways, and me and my kid loved it back then....LOL.

I wouldn't take my kids into a corporate meeting with high level executives. They don't need to be exposed to such poor behavior and worse expletives!

I would say, probably to an industrial job, or someplace where these a high volume of noise. Ive taken my kids to work with me to several jobs, everything from waiting tables, to trucking, to jobsites.
