Todays question Saturday 4-26-08
Good morning everyone
Happy Saturday !!!!
I will be heading out in a few to finish the garden mulch project, I am not sure if I can handle the excitement !!!!
So it came to mind that others must be doing exciting things today and because "inquiring minds" need to know, I have to ask
Todays question:
What are you doing today ?
for those of you who don't post till later in the day
What did you do today ?
Today in history:
April 26,1819 - The first Odd Fellows lodge in the U.S. was established -- in Baltimore, Maryland. The official name of the organization is the Independent Order (of) Odd Fellows or IOOF.
Ok so I am thinking, according to some folks I am a pretty "odd" person, maybe I need to find out about joining this group. So you know I had to google
Here is why they are ODD.
"In 17th century England, it was odd to find people organized for the purpose of giving aid to those in need and of pursuing projects for the benefit of all mankind. Those who belonged to such an organization were called "Odd Fellows". Odd Fellows are also known as "The Three Link Fraternity" which stands for Friendship, Love and Truth."
Word of the day:
confluence \KON-floo-uhn(t)s\, noun:
1. A flowing or coming together; junction.
Today is:
National Pretzel Day
and
National Hug a Friend Day
and lets not forget the famous and wildly popular
National Static Cling Day

Going to the Farmer's Market in a couple minutes.
Younger son came home from FSU last night, I am sure there will be laundry.
Going swimming at the Y.
Expecting brother in law up from Miami, so plan to have a nice dinner, and maybe a mojito or two.

Since the ground here is also covered in snow ( only 2 inches in central Minnesota) cleaning the sidewalk won't be too hard.
Today? ----(since yardwork is ruled out)-------I'll have an easy day of morning workout and watch the NFL draft and the race at Talladega.
Either go to mass this afternoon or tomorrow morning.
A lot of "free time" today.
