Todays question Monday 5-12-08
Good morning everyone
Happy Monday !!!
Our company is gone, so I spent the morning getting caught up around the house
lol I still have a lot of CD catching up to do
Well. I have got to go shoe shopping for the wedding so I can get the dress hemmed. lol I have 4 days !!
Shoe shopping isn't as bad as dress shopping but it is right up there on the list
A couple of my friends along with my sister just don't understand they love shoe shopping, well they love any kind of shopping so the fact that I am "dragging my feet" pun intended !!
confuses them
So I though hmmmm I wonder and ended up with
Todays question :
What is your favorite thing to shop for ?
Extra credit: lol you knew this was coming
What do you NOT llike to shop for ?
Today in history:
May 12, 1792 Toilet that flushes itself at regular intervals is patented - hmmm could you imagine the surprise if you chose to "sit down" at the wrong time !!!
May 12, 1932 Goofy, 1st appears in 'Mickey's Revue' by Walt Disney
speaking of goofy
May 12, 1958 "Nee Nee Na Na Na Na Nu Nu" by Dicky Doo and The Dont's hits #40
Word of the day:
cavil \KAV-uhl\, intransitive verb:
1. To raise trivial or frivolous objections; to find fault without good reason.
Today is:
National Nutty Fudge Day
it is also
National Limerick Day -
There once was a hermit called dave,
Who kept a ... um never mind gotta keep it PG

LOVE fudge w/walnuts. mmmmmmm
If I'm in the mood, I like to shop for anything. I think food shopping is my favorite, I guess. LOL...says a lot about me, doesn't it??? I hate shopping for gifts because everybody I know doesn't need anything. At least that's what they tell us.
Enjoy the day.

Said Rapunzel, high up in her castle
"This is getting to be quite a hassle -
I've given up hope
Of a prince with a rope
So I'm growing my hair past my astle"
I like to shop for gifts for people, and I do not like to shop for clothes for myself, cuz I just never find what I want!

I like the kind of shopping where you aren't looking for anything particular and then happen upon a few treasures. If I had to be specific about something then I guess clothes(I shop cheap ).
I'm sure some women here will agree with my HATE of bra shopping (sorry boys). It's the worst, at least for me.
I'm not big on grocery shopping either, I don't hate it, but it would be so much easier if I could just shop at one store. It's usually 2 sometimes 3 that I have to go to. It's tiring.

Yay, Denise! Congrats on the granddaughter!
Oh, Evey, I'd forgotten bathing suit shopping. That in itself is worth some fudge!

There once was a couple named Fox
Who kept nutty fudge in a box.
While she was out shopping
He was home hopping
Mad. Cause she dyed all his socks.
Men don't like shopping. We are hunters, we buy. With the possible exception of a new car I don't like to shop for anything. Even new cars would not require shopping if I would give that guy from So Africa my bank account number. I would not have to look for something I liked and could afford. I could just call the dealer and say "Hey send me one of them Jetster 3,000,000's in celery with pink leather interior" and wait for them to deliver it. Do you think Bill Gates goes to the grocery store?

Favorite thing to shop for?
I require a multiple answer response because I have a three-way tie.
Anything in a hardware or tool store. Woodsmith! {drool}
Anything in a computer store. "I would like one of everything, please, and five of certain items"
Anything in a landscape or nursery. I need a bigger yard darnit!
Least favorite is clothes. When we went on our cruise (has it been over a year?!) my wife made me go through my entire closet and try on everything. I had to throw out anything worn or ill fitting. Goodwill was very happy with the too-small clothes I gave them. When I finished my closet was basically empty.
She hauled me out for clothes shopping. Dropped a wad on clothes, and I mean a WAD! At JCP she wouldn't let me see the receipt. I did see it later and about freaked.
Pure torture the entire time. I came home exhausted after every outing.
If you are laughing at the Yvette and Moron thread the word of the day is apt.
