Thank you, debey, for bringing back this thread (and Magnum Mike for originally starting it). Poconoproud's poem is so beautiful and heartfelt. And to all the service men and women, past and present; thank you for your bravery, dedication and willingness to serve your country and protect us, and our freedom. We WILL always remember you.

It's been a year since my last post here and here we are again. This is to salute my brothers and sisters in-arms on this day of remembrance.

Yes we need to keep this thread going through Memorial Day. Everyone remember those who lost their lives in order for us to keep our freedom. God Speed to active members of the service who are coming home to their loved ones.

Default May those who are away from home come home safe..

To return to their loved ones, and our gratitude.

And may we remember the sacrifices of those who have served and died protecting our freedom.

Every BBQ, beach party and fun event would not be possible without them keeping our country safe. Everyone should take a moment at these events to honor them. It is their day, in their honor.

Immeasurable courage deserves immeasurable praise.

D. Scott

No BBQ or partying here. Just a time of reflection of and for all those who have served including my family members lost and those who came home.
