When we recently had a few rainy days here, I was making a 1/2-hour drive home from work and decided to count the number of cars that didn't have their lights on...
Now, at this time the rain was coming down fairly steady - wipers were going full-tilt - yet I counted 29 cars without lights.
What fools these mortals be...

What ticks me off is when people dislike someone for being too nice. How in the heck can you be "too nice" it just doesn't make sense to me! My closest friend and I get that all the time and we still can't figure out what would make someone dislike a nice, well mannered person.

Another thing that ticks me off (book coming soon) ...
When you apply for jobs and then get the standard 'kiss off' letter ending in 'good luck in your job search'...translated - 'no way in hell you're gettin this job'!
That's just like 'good luck in future endeavors' means 'kiss off'!

Many good posts so far, by the way. My list:
1. People who make a lot of noise like my neighbors with a real loud truck. It has one of those glasspack mufflers that should be banned. Can't relax in my home when he is running up and down the street. You hear it for blocks away.
2. Cars in front of you who hog the middle of the lane when they want to turn, forcing you to stop and wait for them to turn. THIS SHOULD BE A DRIVING RULE: If you want to turn right, slide over to the right so the car behind you can go around on the left. Conversely when you want to turn left, slide to the center line (do not pass it), so the car behind can pass you on the right.
3. Wanting to make a quick purchase at a convenience store and the person in front gets done with their purchase but then he/she proceeds to chitchat with the cashier! Get the hell out of the way if you are done so you don't waste my time!
4. Going up to pay at a convenience store and the clerk holds up ringing your purchase until they ask you several questions "Did you find everything you were looking for?" "Would like you to purchase a drink with that also?" Listen moron, if I had any questions, needed anything else, wanted anything else - I would have gotten it before I came up here to pay. So ring me up now or I walk out.
5. Businesses/institutions/governments who put a process in place for dealing with a situation and then not following it. Case in point, my bank recently redesigned their website. Problem is, one of my account subtypes is not shown anywhere so I can't do anything with it. I sent two emails from their system inquiring where it is, but they have not replied! How do they expect a customer to get an answer when they do not follow their own procedure? Should I send a carrier pigeon, walk into their office? The customer service manager should be fired.

Lol...the first couple they do around here also, must be a blue collar thing
The clerks at the store that ask you questions, well unfortunately they do that with a gun to their head from management. I worked in retail and one of the things that drove me away was having to do all that mumbo jumbo.
I was a customer as well as a clerk and as a customer I didn't like them doing that to me either!

And that's exactly what was going through my excuse of a mind - "isn't there a law about this?"

Your mind is correct SifuPhil !! It is a law in Penna. to have your headlights on when your wipers are on. And you're right too, that maybe half of the drivers actually do it.
