I had a thread moved to the political forum from R&P. I think that is a group that could use some anger control therapy. The spirited discussions on R&P had not prepared me for the all out war of the political troops. I have made a tactical retreat till after the elections LOL.

 You are so right. It's a rough world over there in P&C. It's fun to read and watch them rip each other to shreds. The name calling and foul language can get out of hand though. It's sad that some are so passionate about their views they can not allow others that same passion.
I mostly sit back and read. I have no interest in trying to sway others to my way of thinking and I would be foolish to think that I can. But, sometimes I just can't help myself and the fingers take over and oops...I just posted again. |

You are so right, I see one person on the P&R forum (Which is almost all debate) who seems to tell everyone how offended she is over the strangest things. Will announced she offended and let the person know she intends to block them. I would think anybody would know the basic requirement on the open R&P forum is thick skin (not as thick as needed on the political forum). At this rate I feel sure she has most of us blocked and will not be so offended by the empty pages. |

I also think trouble arises when a person will post in a state forum and has nothing but negativity to share. Obviously, there are many on the forum who choose to live there. A few negative comments are fine, but continual complaining and/or bashing is horrible to tolerate. It changes the entire feel of the forum. Nobody likes a whiner. I feel strongly that we're all in charge of our lives, and can honestly think of very little that would make me stay in a place that I hate. Actually, I can think of nothing that would!
