It's nice to think we're totally in charge of our destinies, but Fate has a quirky sense of humor - sometimes it likes to see how far it can push us. Or how long it can confine us.

Are Posters More Nasty Lately?

I don't know if it's just lately but people are rude when it comes to posting about a city, they don't answer the OP's question, instead they bash the city and it's people, I think they are very childish and insecure in their own lives so they need to lash out to make themselves feel better. I've lived in a lot of places and never felt I had to run any of them down, it's just a place, you make the best of it and move on if you don't like it, i've never felt I had to get out of a town, my job traveled so that was just part of it, I always found something good anywhere I've been.

IMO there are a couple of posters here that answered for us all.......
Some just like to be nasty....Maybe it makes them feel big. Good Luck with that!

Sure when I'm just passing through and know I don't have to live there for any length of time I can find good things about the place too,heck just today while my car was in the shop I had to hop a city bus back to my place and sure it was nice passing through all the different areas...but then I had to come back to my tired old digs.
The best I've ever felt was when I was traveling and the worst was when I stagnated!

It gets trying sometimes on the Florida forum when you have the bashers or the people who can't find anything good to say at all.
At 1st you try to jack slap them but then you realize that you're only slapping your monitor and that gets expensive.

WITHOUT getting into a north vs south war.....Sorry, but we really don't mind saying bye to someone who moved down here, doesn't like it or can't make it and wants to leave. We'd even kinda like it if they took a couple hundred people like them back with them. Just go already and quit whinning.

I do try to avoid responding to those types of posts.

I just don't know why people take those things so personally...heck I don't even think the governor would take it that personally! It's not worth slapping my monitor over,it's not like someone attacked my family or something!

I'd much rather have someone venting(not whining)over the internet,better that then taking it out in road rage or going postal in a mall or something. At least I can ignore it here.
