Question So, how was your day today?

Boy, what a crazy day. Seemed even more crazy than my work.

I went to the carwash. Today I felt a little frivolous and decided to go to the one where you pull in and the track pulls you through while you stay in neutral. Been putting off washing the truck for almost 2 weeks now and simply felt lazy. So...here we (me and 2 young kids) going through...when the track stopped. Right under the rinse brushes. Long story short, after about 20 minutes of sitting in the rinse cycle, the owner and a handyman managed to fix it, and gave me a ticket for a free wash next visit. Guess the truck in front of me must have jammed the pull-thing-y as he was finishing up, who knows. Good thing the kids didnt have to go to the bathroom, we'd have really been 'stuck'!
Next, a visit to the mall with my family. Boom! Lights out. No power anywhere. I called my work about 1/2 mile down and they were out too but we had backup generators kick in. Seemed like the whole grid was out, everything. In fact, some people I know all the way in Hesperia were out too. Dont know what that was all about but am gonna try and watch the news tonight and see if anything shows as to why. But, all in all, it ended okay, my ex came out to see his daughter and we all had a pizza dinner. Yummy!
So.....did anything wierd, good, unpleasant happen to you all today?

You had me wondering. I thought your water was off. You didn't mention you were in a truck until the third sentence. I assume your truck is rinsed well. Gotta look at the bright side.

I think my other half has finally decided to stop working and take care of herself Got my pension check. I can eat again this month I am going to finish the bath, make that bathroom, I'm adding to the basement, next week.

Wow, livewire...you had a gray cloud following you around yesterday, that's for sure. Nothing weird happened to me for a change.

So the wifey's retiring, eh, studedude? COngratulations. It is an adjustment, being around each other 24/7. Be sure you each scratch out some "me" time, ok?

I can't eat till Monday. DH's pension check comes on the first of the month unless it falls on the weekend, then we get it the next business day. He's still up north, so I assume his parents will feed him.

Enjoy the day.

Awww, it wasnt that bad, really, we all made humor of it. I try to find a little humour in any bad situation. Too bad we weren't stuck in the 'wax' cycle though, dang! Speaking of which, I need to read the local paper and see what the outage was all about yesterday. And congrats on the retiring part, sit back now and enjoy life!

Livewire, I guess there are worse places to be in when the power goes out, like an elevator. Of course most buildings do have emergency power supply sources, usually diesel generators.

I hope your day goes well today.

Lol about the elevator incident and if youre not alone when that elevator 'accidently' stops, its not so scarey.
I just read the article, but it didnt say much, as to why we lost power yesterday.
Last time I heard of a major outage I believe was back in Phoenix (?) about a year or so ago, where a major outage was caused by a snake that got into a transformer.

LOL.. with my luck, I'd stuck in an elevator with another man, who wants to get too friendly... that would be VERY scary!

If Southern California Edison doesn't pay their bill.. do they cut off power? That's a possibility!

Not too good. My husband and I got into a huge fight last night and this morning. I actually slept at the park last night! I think I'm going to file for divorce. I'm tired of him, really.

He's not fun, doesn't like to go out, doesn't really like doing anything with me....I'M SO DONE....thanks....
